“I have purchased wood from Logs OnLine on several occasions over a couple of years and always been pleased with the consistency and quality of the logs. I have to say that I was disappointed with the variation of the most recent order, delivered on 2 March 2025. As has been the case previously, delivery went smoothly by the same driver who is always very helpful and cooperative. However, the length and size of the logs were very variable and did not meet the expectation from the description on your website (“Properly sized and split logs (typically 20-25cm length) ensure easy loading and optimal burning in standard stoves and fireplaces”). Approximately 20% of the logs were approximately 15 cm in length, cut square end as if the machine had been set incorrectly, a significant number were branched and such an odd shape they only just fit into the stove, and one is too large to fit even with the ash bed cleared. The logs are so variable that it is difficult to make a tidy stack. I expect a degree of variation, and welcome a mixture of thick and thin, but the variation on this load was far more than I would expect.”
