Good ....... and bad I had a reasonable idea of what I wanted and on my first visit, Clive was very helpful, let me handle the camera I wanted to see and suggested that I ring up and confirm it was in stock when I was ready to buy. when I went in to buy the camera and dealt with somebody else, I was also ready to buy some accessories. Starting with filters But according to the staff member I dealt with...... You don't sell filters for a Panasonic FZ200 Bridge camera's aren't generally designed to take filters. Yes sir, I know that looks like a screw thread, but it isnt. Well wrong on all three, chummy, which is why I've bought the accessories from somewhere else.......

Hi, Thanks for letting us know about this. I have spoken to the store manager and asks that he speaks to his team members and refreshes their product knowledge in this area. There can be some confusion over filters with bridge cameras, as some do have threads and yet don't fit a filter, and some have no thread at all. Of course, this could have been quickly resolved and tested by trying a filter on the camera and I'm sure that in future that if there is any doubt then the staff at Warrington will do so. I'm sorry that by not doing so you ended up frustrated and unable to walk away with the filter(s) you required. I'm glad that the rest of your experience went smoothly and I hope that we'll see you again in the future. Enjoy using your camera and I you've already got some great shots! Kind regards, Alex - Wilkinson Cameras

A few times I have called at your shop for certain items which you did not have in stock (eg film/flashgun for my XPro, sheets for storing prints) and received the impression you were not interested. When I bought my XPro 1 from you I has found out it had been updated by Fuji but you refused to add this to the camera (for which I was prepared to pay a fee) and was given the impression it was a "take it or leave it" situation. I have found the camera shop in Chester which has a totally different attitude and are far more helpful in trying to assist and they had not totally forgotten the traditional photographer and still sold film! That shop will be my first port of call for future photographic needs, I do regret this as coming to work in Liverpool I was hoping to use you more.

Kept me waiting to sort the paper work out after doing it twice because the first guy couldn't do it . When finally paying for the binoculars which was £1800 they couldn't even give me £5 of lens wipes

After recently purchasing 2 cameras from the Preston store we enrolled on to the introduction workshop, unfortunately the first session was cancelled due to illness. The following workshop we weren't called to be given a place so had to wait months for this workshop despite already paying. Whilst I appreciate the staff are working in limited space within the store I felt we were on top of one another. To be told when I arrived the workshop isn't really for a my digital camera (Lumix) I believe wasn't a positive start. Whilst we'd purchased a Nikon DLSR and Panasonic Lumix TZ80 with 4K it was my belief that an introduction to photography was about any camera. In fact there wasn't much on the worksop I'm not able to perform with my camera. Also when my daughter with her Nikon was trying out a test with her camera where the assistant had difficulties with the camera setting to achieve the end result. Throughout the whole fiddling with the camera setting to achieve a picture at no time was the problem explained so we both walked away non the wiser. Overall I wouldn't enrol on another course, I felt whilst the staff were polite the course didn't offer anything that I hadn't already researched. I think the store has great product but the workshops need to be looked at.

I went to the digital splash event at Liverpool a few weeks ago and it was very very small event. Not enough practical sessions arranged, Michael freeman was bared audible in his little enclosed sectioned off area, ( to which I bought tickets at £10. Each. ) due to the Nikon team on the centre of the hall talking extremely loudly to visitors of the event. The food was also disgusting. No chicken in the soup and the cheese sandwich had no flavour at all. As we live in Lancaster and thought it was going to be a big event, we booked to stay overnight. So all in all, a lot of wasted time and money. Regards Mandy Foreman mandy003k@hotmail.com

Store staff were too "busy" sitting at back of store drinking tea! Felt I was interrupting them.

I bought a ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 20 case at the Digital Splash show in Liverpool. The bag is great, but I do wish I hadn't had to queue for so long to buy it.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We know the queues at Digital Splash were a source of frustration for many customers and we are already planning different procedures for next year's show to ensure a faster, more efficient system. Thank you for coming to the show and hopefully we'll see you next year and you won't have to wait as long. Regards, Alex - Wilkinson Cameras

I have been to your store in Bury many times and I must say I am a lot happier when I leave. I have bought Cameras and other equipment from Jessops stores in Manchester, Leeds and Bury .( Bury is closed now.) I find that the Jessops staff are a lot more friendly and it is a pleasure to shop there. The only reason I have bought things from Wilkinsons is if I see a bargain or second hand items I may want . Both the staff at Bury appear to be looking at their noses at people and appear a little snobby, which is something I detest when I go into a store. I don't like writing a review like this but I'm afraid it had to be done. V.P Clegg

Hello, Five weeks ago I visited the Liverpool branch and spent @£2,800 on a Canon 7D Mk2 / Canon EF 70-200mm F2.8L series lens. In May 2015 I also bought a Canon 70D and a Canon EOS M...the experience in making the recent purchase was not very good at all. If this was my camera shop and somebody had spent that amount of cash; I would at least make them feel wanted or special; especially as they might be a previous customer? The staff rushed the transaction and couldn't get rid of us quickly enough (it was 9.30am on a Saturday morning!), I received a small camera bag and strap that are of no use to me at all, and was probably treated no different to somebody that had spent £100. I could have got this at my local LCE in Chester or online, but no I thought I would stick with Wilkinson Cameras - this as a shopping experience left me cold; I thought to myself why bother, I asked about the Canon cashback and the staff just gave me a leaflet - no explanation at all to help me. Regards, Paul Best

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to write a review and I'm sorry if you feel that the service you received on that day wasn't up to the usual standard and the standard you have experienced in the past. We take any negative feedback seriously and this will be passed on to the Area Manager and fully looked into. If you would like to provide any additional information, such as who served you on the day then please email support@wilkinson.co.uk I hope that you will return to the Liverpool store so we can prove to you that the enhanced levels of customer service you experienced with us in the past are the norm, and that your recent visit was a one off. Kind regards, Alex

I was a little disappointed with my experience in the Liverpool Shop. I felt the shop is trying to replace Jessops and witnessed great caring customer service, however you can't afford the queue to build up while you explain the ins and outs of a camera when that person has no intention to buy whil the people in the queue are ready to handover hard cash for vouchers, camera bits and much more. If you remember any of the Jessops shops they STAFFED UP and like Asda Tesco and many more , when there are more than one person at the till you open another one. Early days hope you take notice. Anyway my vouchers I bought have been well spent by photographer brother and he was delighted.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry if you experienced a delay in the store when you visited. We try to have well staffed shops, but occasionally there may be a delay due to an influx of customers or or a longer demonstration of advanced features, etc. I'll have a look into any other reasons that could have affected your visit that day and hopefully next time you visit the Liverpool store you'll be served promptly. Regards, Alex - Wilkinson Cameras
