“Very easy to arrange rental of a wheelchair for my Dad to use on holiday. The wheelchair itself was very lightweight and easily collapsed to go in the back of the car. Thanks for being accommodating when I needed to change the collection of the chair at quite late notice. I would not hesitate to recommend Wheelfreedom.”

“Very impressed with Wheelfreedom - they delivered the next day at the time they had specified. All staff were exceedingly helpful on the phone. The equipment was brand new and of a high standard, perfect for my requirements. Easy to propel myself and very light so easy to be pushed.”

“I hired 3 wheelchairs for a work activity for a week. The chairs were really good quality, they arrived and were collected on time and were easy to transport and use. The chairs were all very clean when they arrived. I would recommend this wheelchair for anyone needing one on a short to medium term basis.”

“Absolutely brilliant! The leg trolley was a lifesaver as I could finally carry a cup of tea or whatever. I was zipping around but would say to be careful not to go too fast on turning as I nearly tipped it over on the corner of a mat.”

“Great service. Enabled me to go to my sons graduation with a badly broken ankle. Leg rest was too short so had to remove the foot plate, but otherwise would recommend.”

“Thank you Wheelfreedom for making the last weeks of my husband, Richard's, life so very much better. He was able to attend a wide range of events that were on his wish list and he was comfortable. Just one thing - you do need a cushion - available from Argos and others. This made the chair very comfortable for Richard. From the moment we ordered the chair - on a Friday - the service was great. It arrived early on Saturday, the gentleman who brought it was courteous. It was easy to assemble and use - and fitted into the back of large-ish cars. After Richard died, which was quick in the end and shocking, I was treated with great courtesy and consideration when I asked for the chair to be collected. I had put something in the box - the cushion - and Billy from Wheelfreedom contacted me to see if I wanted it back. So, thank you Wheelfreedom - you have been great.”

“Excellent and friendly service, from calling to enquire what the best chair would be, to the price and delivery and collection. “My wife and I travelled abroad by plane, so we needed a collapsible wheelchair that could go into the hold.it was very comfortable and easy to use, to fold down and set up without any difficulties.”

“Wheelchair ordered at midday and delivered at 9 am the following morning. If only every company was as easy to deal with as Wheelfreedom. Would highly recommend the services of this company.”

“I lost a castor from the front of my wheelchair somewhere between Euston and the taxi rank. Searching did not find it and having travelled all the way from Scotland was a bit concerned I would be stuck in the hotel for the few days we were in London. Did a google search for wheelchair hire and was amazed to find quite a few companies. Phoned a couple but they were really nippy on the phone. Then I called wheel freedom. Billy was brilliant, even tried to get me a new wheel rather than hire a wheelchair. So impressed. A wheelchair arrived first thing the next morning and I got to do all the things we had planned. Delivery guy was really friendly too. Good value for money (and cheaper than the nippy people too). Well done guys, fabulous service and will use you again if I have any other breakdowns when in London. Fancy starting up in Scotland?”

“Beware of the terms and conditions. Even though you book it for a period of 2 weeks, you need to book a collection at the same time. If you don't, they will take another payment of 2 weeks. Its a rolling contract so why they ask for dates when you book it is beyond me. I feel sorry for elderly people (likely to be most of their user base!) who may not understand. Wont be using again, poor service.”

Please accept our apologies for any confusion or misunderstanding on how our hire works. We do ensure that this information is clearly presented on our website as well as the confirmation emails and paperwork that we send out for every order, but will review this again in light of your feedback. We offer our wheelchairs on an rolling contract as people hiring from us do not normally know how long their need will be for, particularly if recovering from injuries or illness. This allows you to keep the wheelchair as long or short as you want, without the hassle of having to contact us regularly to extend – instead, you simply need to contact us when finished with your wheelchair, and we can arrange collection for the next day. If your need is for a fixed period, you can contact us straight after ordering to book in a convenient collection date. If you would like to discuss this further, please call us on 0800 025 8005.

“The customer service was excellent and people on the other end of the phone very helpful. Delivery and pick up was very smooth and easy. The wheelchair was very suitable although a little heavier than I anticipated. I would certainly recommend the company although it was a little more expensive than I had thought it would be.”
