“The workshops were a success across the school. Our children were engaged throughout, Holly was particularly good at keeping all children on task and focused. The children have come into school the next day full of excitement about the day. It was a fantastic way to promote the arts within our school and we are excited to have West End in Schools back soon!”

“Our 2nd panto for West End In Schools. Here's what the children had to say: On Friday December 19th we watched the pantomime called Scroogical. We particularly liked the dramatic parts when the spirits visited Ebenezer Scrooge. The spirits were like ghost people - if you tried to throw something at them, it would go straight through! It was a bit creepy, but in a fun way. There were lots of funny bits in the pantomime that were really engaging. The floating rabbit who spoke to Scrooge was hilarious. The girl and boy were shaking their bottoms which was really comical. The pantomime included some songs which explained parts of the story. We could join in with some of the singing, which was good. Some of the Learning Ambassadors thought that Scrooge was the best actor and others liked the rabbit character best. The Learning Ambassadors agreed that they would like to have another pantomime next year because it was so exciting and entertaining. It was a great way to end the term!”

“This is the 4th year that West End in Schools has performed our Christmas panto and it's another triumph. Our children absolutely love it. It's completely inclusive, the actors are great at getting the children involved and we just love it. It's also a very cost effective way of bring this Christmas tradition to our children. Would thoroughly recommend. We're already booking for next December!”

“Set at a level the KS1 children could understand and enjoy. Audience participation included which ensured engagement was maintained. Looking at our children’s faces showed how much they were enchanted by the performance, especially the singing and comedy parts. It was lovely to see children enjoying a physical performance with two adults and props, without the need for stunts, flashing lights or use of technology. Thank you.”

“Excellent for KS2 - children thoroughly engaged, loved every second and the staff were complimentary. For Rec-Y2, was a little over their heads - needed to just be brought down a little to their level. However, we would use you again!”

“We had a visit in our school for a production of Beauty and the Beast this week. It was abolustely fantastic and the children were so engaged. The children (and staff!) enjoyed joining in with the singing and dancing. The two actors that came to our school were excellent and had all the children joining in. Definitely recommended as a way to start the Christmas festivities in school!”

“The actors arrived promptly and were well organised. The children were entranced by the performers who were very professional and engaging with the most beautiful singing voices. The play was intereactive so that the children felt really involved both verbally and physically. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to other schools. At first when we were looking I was not convinced that a visiting panto would be as good as going to a theatre, but you proved me wrong. Oh yes you did!”

“‘Scroogical’ by West End in Schools is an absolute must-see for any Key Stage 2 group! The performers’ energy and interactive approach had the entire audience captivated and wanting more. “We had flamenco sessions for the whole school spanning across 2 days and the dance teacher Angela was absolutely fantastic - clear presentation, and the sessions were very well structured and delivered in a pacey way, keeping the children engaged. They learned a complete dance in a very short space of time, and Angela kept to the (very tight) timetable ensuring that all the required sessions took place on time. We were impressed with her unflagging enthusiasm and and energy, and will be asking her back!”

Despite being a two-actor production, the energy and variety they brought to the stage were impressive, and they held the children’s attention throughout.
