Not such a great session this year, perhaps the text was too complicated. There was a lot of talking and a lot for the children to try to remember and not much active participation.

We enjoyed the workshop but felt that it didn't bring any enrichment or resources that school do not already have.

The sessions were well organised and well led by the member of staff. However we felt that they could have included more strategies to help deal with bullying and given the children more advice.

The children had a wonderful time during their sessions on the Stone Age and the Greeks. Keira was very professional and created a wonderful rapport with the children. The only thing the teachers thought may be an improvement was if the member of staff dressed up to match the specific era and if they could have brought some resources for the children to use e.g spears, stone tools, dressing up clothes etc.

We thought the instructor was great, but didn't really feel the content was as thought-provoking as it could have been or that it covered new areas that we haven't already discussed at school. When she asked at the end, 'What have you learned today?', the children found it hard to come up with ideas. Some children definitely enjoyed the drama aspect. The freeze frames all brought about similar responses.

The information given was very topical and relevant for the children! It would have been great to make the workshop more interactive with more drama activities/ opportunities/ games for the children.

It was a lovely activity to part take in, however the behaviour management needed to be better. The children were getting a little bored and their behaviour started to slip. This meant the session wasn't as benefical for the children as I'm sure was intended.

The children enjoyed the dance and the leader was lovely with the children. The dance for Y2 was quite rushed, having sat then warmed up for 20 minutes out of the 35 minute session. For the price of each session, we felt that there should at least have been some props.

The children enjoyed their workshop - thank you. The facilitator was really enthusiastic and child friendly!! For younger children (Year 3 in our case) some photographs of the soldiers / posters would have been helpful as they were not familiar with all the language and these visual clues would have helped with their own ideas too.

Our dance teacher was very knowledgeable in terms of the story being shared with the children and had a calm and patient manner when delivering the workshop. For our very young Reception children there was a lot of sitting and listening at first which they found quite difficult, so perhaps a more active approach throughout the session would have helped to retain their concentration. All children however enjoyed the activity and followed the instructions to move in the manner modelled for each character from the story.

The actor who came was lovely with the children and they joined in really well. It was good to see them participating in drama activities, and showing off their knowledge of the topic, but was not quite what we had anticipated in terms of content. Key Stage 1 children don't need to do timelines, and quite a lot of the session was spent looking at Florence Nightingale's position in history. We had thought that perhaps there would be role play from 'Florence Nightingale', perhaps with artefacts, in appropriate costume. But the children enjoyed the workshop, and it made a change from sitting in their seats. It gave the teaching staff food for thought in how they might incorporate drama in future history work.

We had the Climate Change workshop, which was interesting, the children enjoyed the different freeze frames, however, we found that there were no resources, no props for the children to look at or use, it was mainly freeze frames and discussions, which we did not feel justified the price of the workshop and probably won't use again.

The content of the workshop was good, but the delivery was not quite what we would have expected. Although the activities the children did helped them in their learning, we had hoped that they would have been more actively drawn into the sessions. More time spent building up a rapport at the start of the session would have helped with this.

The children really enjoyed the active elements of these workshops. The workshop leader was enthusiastic and got the children excited to take part. Being based on the theme of Climate Change, the activities did assume the children would have prior knowledge which was fine for Year 5 who were studying Climate Change in Science lessons, but was a bit too complex for the younger Year 2s to understand fully. It would be useful for teachers to know what prior knowledge is needed before the session.

We did a retelling of Stick Man in KS1 - although the workshop was fun, it didn't utilise any skills that we wouldn't use in an ordinary English lesson. There were no props or costumes to make the workshop feel special. It seems like a lot of money for something that we'd do in an ordinary KS1 lesson anyway.

Pupil feedback: - We thought it was really fun especially when we played the silly warm up game. - I liked the whole thing, I fell down because I was laughing so much. - I liked learning about acting and the stage directions. - I liked the gymnastic routine Staff feedback: - All children got involved and were very active! - The instructor had the attention of the children, kept them engaged, and they really enjoyed it. - Some standards being set for the noise level would be helpful as it ended up becoming a bit of a 'who can scream the loudest' situation, which caused some undue stress on children who are more sensitive to excessive noise/disturbance. - It wasn't particularly an "Olympic" experience and the session I saw could have been delivered by their PE teacher. There was no exposure to Japanese culture/ dance. - It was more of a drama workshop rather than the dance one advertised.

The children enjoyed the session and it was a good introduction to our new 'Enchanted Woodland' topic. Lucy was very engaging and enthusiastic. We feel that the session would benefit from props/costumes to make it totally different from a normal drama lesson that we might carry out already at school.

The children enjoyed the freeze frames with the different characters they were familiar with. While the workshop gave teachers an idea of how to use drama to aid understanding of the text and characters, it was generally felt that the workshop did not offer anything we couldn't do ourselves.

We booked the 'The Ramayana' - Diwali Dance Workshop for our Reception to Year 2 children. The Year 2 children and teachers loved the workshops however the Year 1 and Reception Teachers felt it could have been enhanced with more visuals and props for the younger children to help them make connections between the dance and the culture, especially in the Assembly! Also, the instructor was late on the second day and the teachers had to led the assembly for 10minutes! Could have been so much better, sorry but won't be booking again.

Some of the language was too difficult for the children to understand in the workshops and the performance. More facilitators would have been better. It was a bit simple, lots of reading off a screen and not very inspiring. Sorry to sound so harsh but it was disappointing!
