Workshops were very active and ebtertaining for the children. Tom was an excellent leader of these groups and was engaging, funny and able to manage some behaviours well. All children thoroughly enjoyed!

I wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude to Sarah for the incredible climate change workshop she hosted for us yesterday. It was our first time booking her for the school, and we were absolutely blown away! The children were fully engaged throughout the session, and the content was both informative and age-appropriate. It sparked important discussions and really got them thinking about how they can make a difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we’re already looking forward to booking again for next year! Highly recommend!

It was a super day which engaged all the children and met all of our expectations. The sessions were adapted well to the different age groups and the needs of the children. We were all worn out by the end of the sessions!

Fantastic feedback from all staff. So much done in a short space of time. Stacey was amazing - really good rapport with the children. Lovely way with the children. Knowledge of the book. I loved the way that we did the same book as other classes but that it was adapted for our class not just the same lesson. Well done to her - a lot of hard work to deliver all those classes across the two days. Thank you

This was the third time we have had West End in Schools in as part of our World Book Day celebrations and it really does what it says on the tin - "Bringing Books To Life"! Our facilitator Lorraine worked brilliantly with our Reception and Key Stage 1 classes to involve the children in an imaginative and creative retelling of the Gingerbread Man. All children (including those with additional needs) were really engaged and got a lot out of their session. We have already booked to have them back again next year.

We had a fantastic day with the whole school taking part in the Alice in Wonderland dance workshop. Each class was able to learn their section and performed it brilliantly at the end of the day. Ruby was brilliant in her teaching and made sure all the children were engaged and taking part. She was calm and confident and really helped to make the day special. Thank you!

Alice in Wonderland Dance Day was a really successful event for our one-form entry primary school. Angela was a well organised and talented dance teacher who encouraged whole school participation over the day, class by class. Each learned a pretty complex routine and then it all came together at the end in a performance linked by voice over and music. Highlight for me was seeing EVERYONE dancing, even our very hard to reach children!

I'd just say a massive thank you to Shannon from West End in Schools. The children were so engaged with the activities throughout the entire day - even those children who would usually shy away from performance and dance! Shannon was brilliant with the children and they were transfixed from the very beginning. Every teacher that got to watch a workshop couldn't have had kinder words to say.

What a great day! Sally was incredible - engaging, enthusiastic, bubbly and pitched everything at the right level and for every single year group. Couldn't fault her. So much so that we are waiting for approval to book you again!

Exceedingly expensive. One teacher modelled dance moves to the children to a backing track. 255 minutes of teaching for £539 works out at £126 an hour!

We recently invited West End in Schools to work with our children as part of our World Book Week celebrations, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Rachel, our instructor, was absolutely fantastic — full of energy, creativity, and passion for engaging the children. The focus of the workshop was Alice in Wonderland, and Rachel worked with children from Reception to Year 6 throughout the day. It was incredible to see how she adapted her approach for each age group, ensuring every child felt included and inspired. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the whole-school production at the end, where every year group came together to showcase what they had learned. Watching our children perform with such confidence and enthusiasm was truly heartwarming. The workshop was not only a brilliant way to celebrate World Book Week but also a powerful reminder of the joy that drama, storytelling, and performance can bring into schools. It was a unique, fun, and creative experience that the children will remember for a long time. Thank you, West End in Schools, for providing such a magical and memorable day for our whole school community. We would absolutely recommend your workshops to any school looking to enrich their curriculum with high-quality drama experiences.

We loved having West End in Schools back to our little school for the third time. Despite the wide ages and abilities of the whole school, Hollie managed to deliver a workshop for all our mixed classes. It is lovely to give children the opportunity to perform on top of the drama lessons we do in school because, let's be honest, Hollie is much better skilled than we are at putting together an engaging workshop.

West End in Schools always deliver engaging, enjoyable and informative workshops for pupils that really do 'bring books to life'. I have been booking these workshops for 4 years now and have been thoroughly impressed each year with the facilitators for their knowledge of the story and also the way that they effectively support pupils with SEND to understand the story. I would certainly recommend the workshops as they are a brilliant resource to support the reading and writing curriculum.

We are a primary school and year groups reception, all the way to year 6, were able to take part in this workshop. Our instructor - Ollie - was fantastic, and had fantastic behaviour management with the children: he held their attention and made the sessions both fun and meaningful. The bit the children enjoyed the most was cpming together at the end of the day to watch each other's performances. Each year group told a part of the story and it really came to life when watching them in order. Not only did they cover dance, but also acting skills, making sure that they used facial expressions to convey character and emotions. Such an excellent day - thank you so much!

This is our third year of Bringing Books to Life dance workshops for our Nursery, Reception and Years 1 & 2. As ever, it was an enormous success and the children relished their time with such an experienced practitioner. Thank you!
