“Lovely experience at the Shirley store buying my wedding dress. Farrah was lovely and made me feel comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The only reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the hidden charges wed2b have eg: box, hangers, dress bags. But I can’t fault the experience and all the staff were wonderful.”

“Iedereen was super vriendelijk en enthousiast. Meteen bij het binnenkomen werden we ook goed ontvangen, wat de ervaring zeker aangenamer maakte. Iedereen was eerlijk en bood hulp waar nodig. In het algemeen was dit een unieke ervaring en was alles zeker en vast in orde!”

“Was an unplanned visit just me and my daughter, we waited over an hour to try some dresses on and ended up purchasing. Milly was amazing and make me feel very comfortable and the dress I got was beautiful. However, everybody else who were in larger groups all got given the chance to have a picture with the “I said yes to the dress.” Sign… I was just rushed to pay and given my dress. Left me feeling very deflated and not excited where as all the larger groups the staff seemed to be super excited even clapping etc. I left feeling quite deflated especially after spending £1147 and not even being offered to have a picture. But hey ho, Milly was great, and the dress is beautiful.”

“I had a lovely time today choosing my wedding dress. Kim was so lovely, made us all feel very welcome. We were able to look through the dresses and choose ones I liked. Kim then had so much useful information and knowledge aswell as giving us a great amount of time to find my dream dress. I felt very comfortable in her company and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”

“Fabulous. Lots of stock, reasonable prices, and very knowledgeable staff. It's a 4/5 rating only because I didn't find "the one" - however I KNOW plenty of brides really will so please don't let that put you off. Edith was SO patient with me. I tried 6 dresses in lots of different styles. I am an older bride, size 16 with sizable bust. I had little idea of what I wanted - but lots of ideas of what I don't like. Initially, I wanted to wear my own bra, the dress therefore should have proper straps or sleeves and no padding, but the last dress I tried was a strapless fish tail style with a cape!!! The shop is a bit of an aladin's cave as it doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a warehouse of treasures within. Edith's knowledge of the stock and accessories was second to none and i felt very comfortable throughout the process - even going bra less in some of the styles. Somehow I became really indecisive today and I'll probably be coming back. Given it is my only experience of shopping for a wedding dress if I can offer some advice to other brides it would be:- - take water / nuts as a snack / hand cleaning wipes or gel. I was there hours longer than I thought I would be because I didn't anticipate having so many choices. - be patient if all the assistants are busy when you arrive - they will get to you, and you will be their main focus for as long as you need when it is your turn. - be honest when you are in a dress about what you like or not so they can better help you. They've done this before!! Good luck & have fun. Edith - thank you, thank you thank you for not pressuring me or rushing me today. I'm sorry that I haven't gone ahead so far but please don't run away if you see me at the door again!!”

“I Was waiting 2 and a half hours to get into the fitting rooms but once I was in there it was the best experience, I had a lady called Erin helping me and she was so lovely, understanding and made me feel at ease! She helped me choose the perfect dress as I had no idea what I wanted when I went in, she helped me narrow it down and figure out what I liked, would definatley recommend ☺️”

“Friendly staff Faith was lovely. It would be better if more than 1 size of each dress was available but luckily one id seen on line was available and will not require much taking in. I like that you don't need to book appointments made the process easier. I was in and out 45 mins. 😄”

“Because of the 'off the peg' concept, there was not a single dress on my list in stock. Also because of the walk-in concept, it took about 2.5 hours before it was my turn. This made me lose my excitement for this special moment, but because of the incredibly great help from Bridal Consultant Tamara, all that was forgotten. I never expected to walk out with my dream dress and I succeeded! Thanks to Tamara, I still had a very beautiful day. She and her colleague also gave their excuses several times, while they could not do anything about the crowds. So this was not their fault either. My compliments to Tamara, even though it was only her 5th day at work. She was professional and very kind. She made me very comfortable. A tip to all brides: especially look at the website to see what you do not like and then let it go. Your dream dress is often not exactly what you have in mind and maybe just like mine, completely the opposite.”

“Een hele leuke en warme ontvangst door beide dames . Niet van plan om al een jurk aan te kopen maar toch gedaan. Anita heeft met zorg en kennis mijn droomjurk gegeven. Alleen maar top ! Minpuntje : het was koud in de winkel”

“Freundliche Beratung, sehr engagiert, tolle Kleider. Man muss aber schon entscheidungsfreudig sein. Der Druck, dass das Kleid schon am nächsten Tag verkauft sein kann, schmälert das Erlebnis etwas. Trotzdem Vielen Dank”

“Great, Ruth was a really helpful attendant who gave me lots of time and options, and was very patient as we tried on lots of dresses, until we found a combination that worked. Only took off a star as it would have been nice to be able to browse through ourselves (either look at the dresses or in a catalogue) and the toilets could be nicer!”
