“Efficient and quick delivery. Product as described and now successfully installed - although the Diverter kit is a bit perfunctory (does not fit my drainpipe diameter) and it would be better to understand beforehand that it's not really an integral element.”

“Very good service from Water Butts Direct. Ordered processed and delivered without unnecessary fuss and complication. Excellent product which looks great in situ. One star deducted due to them not informing me item was out for delivery with an estimated delivery date. Consequently it was a surprise when delivery man turned up. I almost missed him as I was on my way out.”

“Ordered a Strata slimline butt, arrived promptly but had split base. Customer services immediately sent replacement and some washers I requested. Replacement Strata slimline butt arrived but with split through tap hole this time. Again, excellent customer response and am hoping for sound butt third time round. Not quite so sure about robustness of Strata barrels or care in handling by Tuffnells delivery though.”

“Hefty price for this water butt. However, very original design and blends nicely into my garden. Found that tap has a 3/4 outlet, not the usual 1/2 inch which means we have to source an adapter, which could have easily been supplied with the butt considering it's price. Also, to connect to the drain pipe, a hole needs to be drilled through uneven plastic. Still, I would buy again with this knowledge as I love my water butt and found ordering and delivery very easy.”

“I would have given 5 stars, but... I placed an order for two water-buts on the website. No problem, order placed, ordered number appeared on screen, money sent. However, despite promises of confirming email nothing further was heard from this company until the order was delivered. In fact not even then, I heard only from the delivery company. So learn from this please, take note of the order number and don’t expect any communication. I expect I’ll use them again, I hope they get their back-office sorted!”

“It seems quite light but it has coped well with all of the rainwater we have had. It was easily installed and the positions for the tap and downpipe entry were well marked and easy to cut out once I had determined the position where I wanted to place it. All in all a good bit of kit.”

“Purchased water butt in advance of required time as web site indicated 3week wait. Unfortunately we did not receive an e mail confirmation of the order. Although the web site indicated we would receive an e mail following despatch so we might track the order, this too was not received. Our water butt was received, unexpectedly, 6 days following order and we are pleased with the actual product. Communications to customer need to be improved to ensure information on what is happening is readily available”

“Very pleased with Roto Water Barrel 350L which I bought to replace an old oak barrel. My only complaint would be about the awful brown plastic tap which sticks out like a sore thumb - why not black to match the water butt? It may seem a minor detail, but it spoils the appearance of a very nice, though expensive, water butt. Delivery good, though it was cancelled once with no explanation, and then delivered by a different carrier.”

“Good service. Minor leak from spare tap port but this seems to have stopped once the butt has filled and the plastic stretched a little. Good value”

“Purchased the 110L Slimline Polybutt, which is very good and a bit different from the normal style. I did, however, have a problem fitting the tap at the bottom of the butt. All fittings are plastic, and on tightening the fitting, the plastic screw thread jumped, and it would therefore not tighten as I believe it should. Consequently, there is a very, very small trickle of water from the joint. I am a practical person and do not believe I over-tightened the joint. Otherwise it's a great item.”

“Speedy delivery, goods arrived as requested. The only thing I would want is a bit more info about possible ways of connecting the water butt to a greenhouse/guttering system rather than assuming it is to be connected to a normal downpipe.”
