“Don't believe their false advertising, happy to take your money but not happy if you make a claim”

Hi Michael, I am really sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your claim decision. As per the terms of your policy, we are unable to provide cover for any pre-existing medical conditions and this is also outlined on our website. Unfortunately, your pets medical history stated that he suffered from the condition prior to your policy with Waggel. “It seems fine to make a claim, but I need more guidance on whether I should wait until all treatment is finished, or make several claims. The lack of policy number makes it harder to talk to both vets involved. Your policy document isn't very clear on this level of detail, so feeling a little frustrated by the experience so far.”

Hi Paul, It is entirely up to you, we are happy to process the claims either way! You can either make continual claims, or make one claim at the end of the treatment. Here at Waggel we don't use policy numbers, instead we identify your policy by your pets name and your surname. “I have been very disappointed with the way my claim has been handled. when I submitted the claim I was asked for my dog's medical history which was non existent apart from the usual vaccinations most of which had been given by vets in France and Spain. The best I could do was to give these vets' details. After many weeks without hearing anything I called you and was told that you were waiting for my vet to return a form. If all this information is required before a claim can be met it should be required at the inception of the policy.”

“Very impressed to say I have never used or heard Waggle before. Even though the excess is higher than my last insurers I highly recommend your service. It has been an extremely distressing time for my family and poor Freddie, who BTW received the very best care, he is on the mend getting stronger every day. I felt I control of the whole process; messages and calls were dealt with efficiently and the bill was paid without quibble.”
