“Actual surgery was fast painless and efficient. Pre surgery information was not user friendly for cognitively impaired and elderly. There was no wheelchair availability to assist patient from car to lift. There was no disabled toilet on ground floor and no signage indicating availability on first floor. No clear evidence on amount of eye drops after surgery and no availability of application aids. Fur coat and nae nickers to coin an appropriate Scottish phrase.”

“I cannot recommend Vision Scotland highly enough. From the initial appointment through to the procedure and then the after care, everybody was very friendly, supportive and professional. I especially enjoyed the toasted tea cakes!! Thank you very much for everything.”

“I was well looked after by the staff and all options were thoroughly explain to me regarding my cataract operation. The surgery was fairly quick and successful. My vision is so very much better. Thanks to everyone in Vision Scotland for their care and attention.”

“Cataract surgery was smoothly carried out with only minor discomfort. Staff were excellent and the results of improvement to my vision was all worthwhile. My vision both distance and medium distance is now very good, I only now need glasses for reading distance.”

“I am so glad I chose Vision Scotland to have my cataract surgery done. The service from beginning to end was excellent and the whole team were so calming, professional and caring. Understandably you are extremely nervous but at all times I felt I was in good hand. My surgeon Jonathon Ross restored my sight back to excellent and I do not need glasses at all. Things are so much brighter and clearer.”

“The service I was given was exceptional. This encompassed not only the treatment itself, but the whole experience. It was all carried out in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, as well as one of professional excellence and administrative competence, which combined to make the treatment so much easier. Yes, I was reluctant to abandon the NHS, but the delay I had been told to expect, despite being unable to read or enjoy the pleasures of the countryside to the full, meant I was becoming increasingly frustrated and difficult to live with. The treatment I received from Vision Scotland was speedily organised and, once it was over, my vision almost immediately returned to a first date standard!”

“I am very pleased with my recent cataract surgery and would like to thank all the staff at Vision Scotland. My vision has improved immensely and I am now able to drive without glasses and read with just inexpensive ready readers. The attention I received throughout the process was excellent. Firstly from the diagnostic team, then the optometrist, John Fox and the surgeon, Mr Stoddart. The aftercare staff were also superb and were available to answer any questions I had and took the time to call me afterwards on a few occasions to check on my progress. I will also add that the reception and facilities at Vision Scotland's Rapho hospital were very welcoming and I would recommend this company to anyone requiring eyecare”

“I can't believe that 24hrs after Mark Stoddart operated on my cataracts I had clear vision. No blurring or pain at all. I am so grateful to him and also the nurses who were so kind and caring. I will certainly recommend Vision Scotland. Amazing”

“Had cataract surgery to both eyes at Vision Scotland this week. My care from first contact to procedure has been outstanding with excellent outcome. Jonathan Ross and his team were kind, caring and professional at every stage. I was kept informed and reassured throughout my time at the clinic and the 24hr aftercare telephone was very reassuring. Would definitely recommend Vision Scotland.”

“Wonderful company providing a great service. Had cataract surgery 2 months ago , really happy with the life changing results. Pre operation and follow up have all been first class. Would recommend, especially as my friend had the same lenses fitted by another clinic at 20% more cost.”

“I am absolutely delighted with my visit to Vision Scotland. After my appointment with my optician, I was seen at Vision Scotland within a few weeks and a few weeks later, my cataracts were removed. Everyone was so kind and patient with me in what I found to be an extremely stressful situation. I still wear glasses but I can see to drive again, I can see to walk the dog again. It's wonderful. Thank you all.”

“The staff involved with me throughout my eye surgeries have been excellent, the care and attention I have received was second to none and my outcome for my vision has been better than I had expected or hoped for. Mr Mantray and his staff responded to any and all questions with extreme good humour and clear answers. The hospital at Kingspark was calm and appointments ran on time. You were made to feel welcome and looked after which was reassuring. I am so glad I chose to access this team and have the surgery done, it has really improved my quality of life, many thanks to all of you.”

“My 92 year old father had both his Cataracts done on the same day and everyone was so kind and helpful on the day and explained everything to him and made sure he was comfortable during the surgery. He went back afterwards as we had a few questions and a concern around double vision, all our questions were answered and our mind was put at rest. Would definitely recommend Vision Scotland at Ratho. Thank you.”
