The service I was given was exceptional. This encompassed not only the treatment itself, but the whole experience. It was all carried out in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, as well as one of professional excellence and administrative competence, which combined to make the treatment so much easier. Yes, I was reluctant to abandon the NHS, but the delay I had been told to expect, despite being unable to read or enjoy the pleasures of the countryside to the full, meant I was becoming increasingly frustrated and difficult to live with. The treatment I received from Vision Scotland was speedily organised and, once it was over, my vision almost immediately returned to a first date standard!
