“After my 87 year old Mum’s referral from her optician she was given an appointment for a consultation within 24 hours. It was so reassuring for her to know that she could start herRachae treatment straight after her consultation today. Mr Manish Gupta took time and explained everything to Mum and me and certainly put Mum at ease. Her first procedure went very well. Macular degeneration is now being treated and she is feeling positive. This is so reassuring as waiting time to be seen by NHS can be between 3/9months in which time things could have deteriorated. Many thanks to everyone at Vision Scotland.”

“I am now coming close to 48hrs after my Bilateral Cataract Surgery (early onset cataracts). My initial contact with Vision Scotland was on 28th May via phone call & email. Assessment date was scheduled for 8th June; I was extremely apprehensive but immediately put at ease by the very welcoming ladies at reception and during my routine eye tests with the nurse. I then went on to meet and have tests done by Mr Martin McNeill – Optometrist and Mr Soo Park – Ophthalmic Surgeon, both made me feel extremely at ease and explained the surgery and different choices open to me if full. The day of the surgery was set for 15th June, again the full procedure was explained to me which helped put me at ease. Everything was timed to perfection and before I knew it, it was all over and completely painless. A massive thank you to Mr Soo Park for updating me and keeping me calm during the procedure and for the amazing outcome (can’t believe I am still in the early stages of recovery, my vision is awesome) and to all the nurses and staff you are all fantastic. I would highly recommend Vision Scotland.”

“I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes, both are still in the process of healing but I just wanted to say a very big thank you to surgeon, Mr Paul Flavahan and his team for the care, attention and patience they gave me. The staff at reception were very kind, pleasant and helpful also. Parking was easy, interior was spotless and refreshments were available also. I got the surprise of my life when I was able to thread a sewing needle, without the aid of my glasses, for the first time in 40 yrs. A very big thank you to all. I thoroughly recommend Vision Scotland to anyone needing cataract surgery, a worthwhile investment.”

“Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the premises were spotless. It also helped that enough parking is provided for patients - a big plus if your mobility isn't so good. I had cataract surgery on 7th May and the result is astounding - clear vision and no after effects. I'm hoping my optician check up clears me for driving again. Many thanks to everyone that made this result possible.”

“Absolutely brilliant Team from start to finish. My Surgeon Paul was superb and told me what was happening right through both procedures. Nurses were superb I cant give enough praise for them. Nothing was too much trouble. From walking in to going home. Thankyou very much.”

“I couldn't rate my experience any higher. I was delighted by the outcome of my unilateral upper eyelid procedure performed by Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon Mr Vikas Chadha at the Glasgow clinic of Vision Scotland, and by the relatively little downtime following it (mindful that different people heal dfferently). All staff I interacted with there, however, were very professional and friendly, and the complimentary coffee served with biscuits was very good too.”

“I recently had lens replacement Surgary. From the moment I stepped into Vision Scotland at Newbridge, Edinburgh, I was made to feel most welcome. My surgeon was very helpful, patient and kind, a true professional! The staff at my before and aftercare were professional and excellent at making you feel your care was paramount. “I am very pleased I decided to have my cataracts fixed and my sight corrected. I am now glasses free for the first time to nearly fifty years. Seeing so clearly is a miricle. The team at Vision Scotland were all fantatic, they put me at ease and made the operation very comfortable. The procedure does not take long and is painless. The results are amazing.”

“I had both my cataracts removed on the 15th December. I cannot believe the difference it has made. Mr Stephan Burgess was the consultant who did my procedure. I would recommend him for his skills and attitude. I was informed all the way through the procedure. My colour vision is fantastic and my distance vision is back to when i was in my 20's. Whilst I now need glasses for reading I was told that this would probably be the case. Yes it was expensive but it was money well spent. I had been on the NHS waiting list for over 13 months and was informed that I would not be operated on for some number of months and that was just for the first eye. Would I recommend Vision Scotland? Absolutely!!!! My wife is now about to have the same treatment in 2 weeks time.”

“I had a lens replacement in my left eye at Vision Scotland’s Ratho clinic, followed by a quick YAG laser procedure. Both visits were seamless from booking to aftercare. Every member of staff I met was professional, friendly, helpful and considerate, and they put me completely at ease. The results have been excellent and the experience was straightforward throughout. I can’t praise the team enough and would have no hesitation recommending Vision Scotland to anyone seeking eye surgery. A five-star experience from start to finish.”

“I have been very short sighted since a young age and having developed cataracts I was struggling with my varifocals. Due to the long waiting time for NHS surgery I decided to be treated by Vision Scotland. and this was done within 6 weeks (could have been 4 but I was unable to attend on the proposed date). I had bilateral surgery carried out by Mr Ross in Aberdeen. I would describe the result as life changing. Having just had my 6 week check up at my optician I have been told I don't need glasses. Can't thank Mr Ross and his whole team enough. Definitely would recommend Vision Scotland,”

“I cannot praise Vision Scotland (Edinburgh) highly enough. The time from referral to bilateral cataract surgery was very short - just over two weeks. Mr Mantry and his team were very supportive and made the whole process easy and stress free. Thank you!”
