“It's very easy to use, but most of the drawing must be paid, and functions ctrl + z and ctrl + y not always work.”

“It's a terrific tool for what it does. A bit immature. For example it doesn't allow custome backgrounds or import of static images (for branding for example).”

Thank you for your review Randy. For those not yet familiar with VideoScribe we currently provide 100 canvas colours, with 9 texture options for each and 2 vignette options for each of those - that is 1,800 options in total. Of the c.3,000 SVG images we have on offer there is a fairly even mix of colour and black and white options available.

“I use whiteboard animation videos to teach best-practice memorization techniques to students, so they crush their exams. VideoScribe helps me connect with my audience and deliver them huge value. I love the Steve Jobs quote that 'simplicity is the ultimate sophistication' and simplicity is one of the things VideoScribe does really well. It's easy to use and helps me create engaging videos my audience loves. I started out with VideoScribe when I created a short whiteboard animation video to put on YouTube. It was a promotional video to help market a book I'd published on Amazon. As a promo video it was a complete failure (no increase in book sales) but people loved the video and it started to get more and more views and engagement. So I thought "Maybe I should transform the book into a complete series of whiteboard animation videos". I posted the first couple for free on YouTube, directing traffic to the complete course on my website (https://www.memorize.academy) It was a success and I've recently started posting regular whiteboard animation videos on YouTube. Part of my branding is 'The Whiteboard Animation Memory Coach'. Between YouTube and other platforms my videos have been watched over 7 million times, making me the most viewed memory coach in the world. I've received a YouTube Silver Play Button for reaching 100,000 subscribers and now I'm focused on reaching one million. VideoScribe allows me to create unique and high quality videos for my audience, and it's one of the essential tools in my business.”

“VideoScribe is AMAZING!!! BUT they fail to mention the image gallery is very limited. After my 4th video I ran out of original images so the videos all have the same images. And to buy images is sooooo expensive! Now I'm forced to spend hours making my own images.”

Thanks Sofia, I am pleased to say that that functionality does exist. Just insert a text frame after the image you wish to write on top of. If you continue to have a problem please contact our help desk or raise a ticket.I hope that helps.

“I found the platform really easy to use and quickly produced my first scribe. There is an extensive list of tutorials that guide you from the basics through to top tips to really help build great scribes. I loved the fact that you can save locally or cloud based as I constantly found myself continuing to work on scribes whilst travelling on my ipad. Finally I had a couple of occasions to get in touch with the customer services and found the response times to be lightening quick and very helpful and professional. Throughly recommend this product.”

Thank you for your review. As a regular user you will understand that the main focus of VideoScribe is to animate the creation of an image - in a White Board style as opposed to creating motion through animation. We have added in a number of transitions that can make the experience richer but our key focus is to be true to the White Board style. I hope that helps.

“It's the second year I purchase video scribe. The program hasn't made much evolution since last year. Unfortunately, it didn't reach my expectations. I've blindly registered for another year, but I believe I won't use it much since I had to turn to After effects in order to fulfill the tasks now. Though I believe there is still a place for your program in video scribing process.”
