“Promises so much, delivers very little. I really wanted to like this software. I had so many ideas for some wonderful animations. However, I am very disappointed with the reality of my purchase. I have had issues with the software since day 1. 3 months in and these issues are not resolved. I have raised tickets and called... only to be going round in circles / being told I will be called back (and not) My audio disappears. I am unable to use the music function as it won't load any music into a scribe. There is so much lag, it takes forever to create an animation, and when I do finally get to make something I can't download it. If you think that was bad enough, te scribe is completely unaccessible once you hit save and try to assess it again from the dashboard. And to top this all off, what you don;t discover until you purchase the software is that the image library is very limited, unless you want to pay more money to purchase 'premium' items. I wish I could give 0 stars. I have wasted so many hours trying to get this resolved. Maybe I should be invoicing Sparkol!! My experience has been nothing short of a disaster.”

“I am not satisfied with their policy and believe that it is nothing more than an aggressive commercial practice and money luring. Last year I paid for a year subscription for VideoScribe service, but did not use it much. I almost forgot about it. But realized that they charged me for the next year subscription. A few days later I contacted them to cancel it and get a refund. After a couple months of negotiation I've been getting rejections and rejections in a refund or a partial refund. Their explanation is nothing more than hiding behind legal formalities that they designed to support their policy: all this “I agree to terms and conditions…” where they appear they got an unconditional authorization to charge my money, no matter if I use it or not. People make mistakes, people are inattentive, people click ‘agree’, and ask to re-consider the deal if they find they made a mistake, it is a normal practice around the world. But they believe it is better to punish their customer for not being interested in using their services. It is not the case when after half a year of not using the service I am asking to cancel it and refund all my money back. No, they knew I am not using it anymore, they knew it was just a couple of days after the auto-payment and I said I have no interest in further use of it. They proved to be aggressive in imposing their services no matter what.”

Hey there Alex, as you have mentioned this is a subscription. Future payments are not unconditionally authorised, you can unsubscribe at any time to prevent them. We sent you a couple of reminder emails in the month leading up to the new charge and have cancelled future payments now we know you want to leave. The software is available for you to use and if you need any help getting the most out of it we are on hand to support you with that.

“Awful. Platform is a money trap that requires you to pay extra for the decent features. There are far better, cheaper alternatives. Plus, they force you to sign up for a yearly subscription hoping you’ll forget, then ignore your requests for a refund. Trash company.”

“Forcing customers to opt out by asking individuals to cancel new subscriptions is what one would expect from a fly by night organization. If you believe in your product, give your customers the choice of renewal. Let the buyer beware.”

“I only started using it recently and have already finished putting together a few whiteboard scribes. I can't wait to add them to my repertoire of classroom training presentations. Overall, the learning curve was pretty quick to overcome. The videos helped to get me started. Adding music and voiceover to the same scribe took a little creativity but I was able to pull it off. I learned the hard way by doing the scribe first and then narrating to the presentation. Wish that the voiceover could have been done in small blocks and spliced together. As I get more experience, I will perfect that process. I like how easy it was to tweak the components to sync up better with the narration. I hope to see more scribed objects added to the library to help in creating themed presentations and not have a various mishmash of components to tell a story. Overall, I love the program, the ability to be creative, the attention that VideoScribe demands from the audience, anticipating what comes next, and the ability to tell a story in an interesting modern way. Thanks for helping me engage my audience. Keep up the good work.”

“Software is Good, but new updates always come with bugs, and when report it customer support, they always ask to deal with it, never tries to understand or resolve it. Worst support in regards to development.”

“I like it in general, but can be much better for the pricing. The effects, functions, font capabilities.... are very limited when compare to PowerPoint possibilities. It's basic...it can be improve! Only one voice-over recording file per video is not efficient at all. It should at least be by scene.”

“TOO MANY BUGS. 12/08/2023 The engineers suck, so there's always several issues at once. & the engineers seem lazy regarding software updates to their endless bugs. More often than not their solution doesn't work or indirectly tells me to deal with it. I would upload short conversations from my gmail but VideoScribe has already inconvenienced me too much this month. To be clear, the countless bugs in itself is what makes VideoScribe a software I would tell everyone is not worth the headaches. (Mac & Windows)”

“I wanted to just *try* making a whiteboard video. I did not want to have to pay $$$ for a test drive. The free version is great. Yes it is limited on some features, but absolutely robust enough for a test drive. Free trials of software products used to be very common but SO rare these days. Thank you, thank you, thank you! VideoScribe for your retro-vintage value and customer support of test before you buy!”

“I have been using VideoScribe since 2014. In all this time, their customer service and follow up is an example of a customer centric company. The support team truly understand what is an omnichannel customer service. Good job! In my view you get NPS= 10 CES=1 very easy”

“My Videoscribe software froze as I attempted to upload the latest version of Videoscribe. After contacting the support team for help, I found the them to be professional and helpful. They promptly provided me with clear and straightforward instructions to remedy the problem. In no time, the Sparkol support team had my software up and operating smoothly. Thank you Sparkol!”

“I have given up using the software l because the rendering process is far too slow on my computer. Btw, beware of your subscription period. They refused to refund the subscription the second after the renewal. I guess we both share shame on this one.”
