TOO MANY BUGS. 12/08/2023 The engineers suck, so there's always several issues at once. & the engineers seem lazy regarding software updates to their endless bugs. More often than not their solution doesn't work or indirectly tells me to deal with it. I would upload short conversations from my gmail but VideoScribe has already inconvenienced me too much this month. To be clear, the countless bugs in itself is what makes VideoScribe a software I would tell everyone is not worth the headaches. (Mac & Windows)

I had a bad experience with VideoScribe. At times the program gets stuck and when you exceed a number of minutes editing, the program does not respond or responds more and more slowly. So I rated this internally but would like to do it here as well. A pity because I will no longer be able to make videos from the program. I wanted to renew my subscription and I found myself with 168 dollars per year when a year ago, the program cost less than half of that. This price increase cannot be justified and it doesn't make sense because you didn't fix big performance BUGS and what you added as new features were fonts or things that I don't even use. I think you have no idea about Design Thinking, you don't think about the client or how the client thinks. Goodbye Sparkol.

I have given up using the software l because the rendering process is far too slow on my computer. Btw, beware of your subscription period. They refused to refund the subscription the second after the renewal. I guess we both share shame on this one.

When you are rendering, the process is very slow. Is very awful. 168 dollars! I wont pay this for a program has no sense. If you edit for 1/2 hours videoscribe colapse! The memory system is full and if you did not save the proyect, you loose all changes.

Very bad company. Software crashes, you have to do too many in app purchases just to be able to use a few pictures. And customer services CANNOT help you with anything. Bad experience I had. Sorry, just being honest

I have been using this crab product. It takes ages to get work out of it. Just 5 minutes video it is taking so much time. System is hanging . App is going to restart. You are not supporting the fixes and even for 3-4 pages or 15 mins duration it is eating my time struck in the middle. have to close the app and again relaunch- I may end up not able to save previous data . or I have to wait for long time to get back normal screen as it keeps on loading the data for years. always you come up with document or pre-template to give general solution even without much stock pictures and only writing some words it is taking time. I ended up adding pictures and my videos look plane and not as expected.# still after 30days of Use I am having same feeling like I have wasted my MONEY AND TIME on this worthless product. I have to buy another product now or close always have to come up to you again it takes ages to solve a single issue. I am more in line with you than allocate my work to my team as I am not able to get the things ready for me. I have many points still.. but I feel it is useless to discuss . I have not started to write reviews yet by expecting I will solve the issue. It's time to write reviews on many things where ever I come across and I wish I will write all this lines so that everyone will be aware of this before wasting time and money on this product. I

The software they provide is extremely poor quality and crashes all the time. It lacks many features that are needed to make any useful videos. Completely useless. Adding voice to it is extremely hard. Reminds me of windows 98!

Buyer Beware. I purchased this software a year ago to try it out. I ended up using it once as I found it to be dated and less versatile than Vyond, Doodley, or Toonly. Recently I was hit was an annual charge. There was no reminder warning me that I would be charged for another year. When I contacted the company they were very rude and unwilling to refund the money. Stating that "sometimes" they send a reminder email. I was never notified that I would be charged much less that the amount would be nearly $40 more than what I had paid the previous year. Not only did the unexpected charge cause problems for me at the bank, but now I'm stuck paying for software that I'm not even using. Do yourself a favor and go with Vyond. Its more expensive but is alot better quality wise, not to mention much better than going with a service that preys on unsuspecting customers who forgot that they tried the service over a year ago.

Sorry to hear you've not been happy with the service. We're always open to feedback but there are a couple of things in your comments which I believe you have misunderstood and I would like to set the record straight on. 1 - We guarantee that we will send a reminder email at least 2 weeks before payment on the yearly plan and would offer a refund if we failed to do so (we actually send 2 in the month before). What we said in our message to you is 'We understand that subscriptions can be forgotten sometimes' we then go on to say 'so we send 2 renewal reminder emails as a heads up'. I've checked your account and I can see the reminder emails we sent, and marked as delivered. 2 - As for the price, that's not changed. When we've put our prices up in the past we've never passed that onto existing customers, they still pay what they originally agreed. If we did decide to change that in the future we would inform you so you could cancel if you were unhappy. The yearly subscription was $168.00 when you joined us and this was clear on the pricing page and at the checkout. You used a '20% off your first year' discount code which is the reason for the lower initial charge. I can see you have a ticket with our support team so I will contact you personally via that to answer any follow-up questions you may have to this information.

This has been the worst program. It has crashed many many times, losing SO much of my content numerous times. It has lost me so much time and money. I spent hours and hours re-creating what I already created (multiple times because, with each crash, content was lost). There are an incredible number of bugs and I will not be using this program again. What a headache! *Ironic note: I HAVE to use this to finish up the last section of my video, because I already have invested an insane amount of hours into this video through this program. As I was writing this, VideoScribe froze in the background. I clicked Save numerous times. The program didn't respond. I went to close the page - the program didn't respond. I ended the Task and when reopened - Surprise! It didn't save, though I clicked Save multiple times. It lost the last two hours of my work. Thank you, VideoScribe, for making this project miserable.

I didn’t realise my account was on auto renew and requested a refund the same day I was charged for one year. Despite not having used the product for over 9 months previously and it clearly being a mistake to not have cancelled auto renew, Sparkol flat refused any refund unlike LinkedIn where I had the same issue and they refunded immediately.

I just feel like the automatic billing is unnecessary and I lost $168 that I realized when it was billed. There shouldn't be an automatic billing. I feel like the customers should choose it as automatic in their setting and not when buying the item so that it is more apparent. I am extremely disappointed in this nonrefundable agreement. I know that I'm not the only one. I have seen reviews that there are people like me since few years ago, which means this is a very common mistake that a lot of people make. The fact that this is still not changed says a lot about your ethics.

I am not satisfied with their policy and believe that it is nothing more than an aggressive commercial practice and money luring. Last year I paid for a year subscription for VideoScribe service, but did not use it much. I almost forgot about it. But realized that they charged me for the next year subscription. A few days later I contacted them to cancel it and get a refund. After a couple months of negotiation I've been getting rejections and rejections in a refund or a partial refund. Their explanation is nothing more than hiding behind legal formalities that they designed to support their policy: all this “I agree to terms and conditions…” where they appear they got an unconditional authorization to charge my money, no matter if I use it or not. People make mistakes, people are inattentive, people click ‘agree’, and ask to re-consider the deal if they find they made a mistake, it is a normal practice around the world. But they believe it is better to punish their customer for not being interested in using their services. It is not the case when after half a year of not using the service I am asking to cancel it and refund all my money back. No, they knew I am not using it anymore, they knew it was just a couple of days after the auto-payment and I said I have no interest in further use of it. They proved to be aggressive in imposing their services no matter what.

Hey there Alex, as you have mentioned this is a subscription. Future payments are not unconditionally authorised, you can unsubscribe at any time to prevent them. We sent you a couple of reminder emails in the month leading up to the new charge and have cancelled future payments now we know you want to leave. The software is available for you to use and if you need any help getting the most out of it we are on hand to support you with that.
