The communication was hard at such a difficult time i just wanted my boy home and sometimes when i phoned people where very blunt. The women who did ring me when he was ready to be collected was lovely though however i wanted to pick him up during the day as you where not open until late in the branch in staines i was told i couldnt and had to wait until the everning i then phoned someone else who advised me i can get him during the day i just needed to request for him to he left with th3 staines branch. This just put me being able to collect him back by anouther day when all i wanted was him home. I would of also liked to be made aware i could of gone to see him again before his cremation it said in th4 booklet which i found out after his cremation on the day he died t i was a complete mess as the hole situation was a shock

Friendly and good vet care but far too expensive compared to other vets. Will not be using out of hours service again due to this.

Had to wait for nearly 2 hours even though there was only one person before me. The vet who saw my cat was pleasant and efficient and the receptionist was very helpful. I do think the cost is too high though and would put people off seeking care which may have an impact on their pets outcome. I paid £225 for a 5 minute consultation. 2 weeks later my cat had the same problem and I took her to my own vets. It only cost £33.

Vet care was good and I understand the need for higher prices to pay locum rates, rent of premises etc. However, there is no excuse for drugs being almost four times the usual price.

We considered the pricing to be very expensive however the biggest negative was the actual vet we saw on the Saturday night. He was Eastern European so English was not his first language. However, his ‘bedside manner left a lot to be desired even allowing for language variations. He simply stated it would be best to have our dog out down there and then, something we had not even considered. Everything seemed so cold and calculated. Also... To have to pay £15 for a form to be be filled in for insurance seemed a bit excessive given the fact that it only took 5 minutes. On the plus side, the nurses were excellent and very helpful. Making the appointment was also easy and quick.

Vet and medical care was faultless and then I got the invoice... expected approx £150-£180 for evening appointment, anti inflammatory and antibiotic injections plus take home drugs... This is what I have paid at out of hours vets over the last 20 years of pet ownership. Vets Now charged £255. Each drug had an admin fee which was approximately 100% mark up on top of the already excessive fee for the medication... I feel that this organisation are profiteering and exploiting vulnerable pet owners... disgusting.... I only hope it doesn’t put people off using them till surgeries open the next day... pets will suffer. I will feed back to my own vet when I next see him...

Very knowledgeable and kind vets. However when I got a refund for medications I only got a partial one for it and not a whole refund

Had to wait for 1hr 30mins to see a vet while my dog was having a really bad seizure with her eyes rolling about in her head. First vet that saw her was not very good, the vet on the evening shift though was excellent.

Whilst out in the recreation ground, playing her usual game of ball, my dog sliced her top pad off, as well as cutting deep into her leg. I feared she may have cut a main artery, as there was so much blood oozing out. So I telephoned her veterinary practice immediately, and was guided to Vets Now Out of Hours, by a pre-recorded message; be it 9am Sunday morning, staff are resting! I telephoned Vets Now, and was told there would be an initial £120 call out fee, which later changed to £160 when being invoiced. Whilst driving my dog there, her paw soaked through two blankets, as well as having soaked through two bath towels whilst at home telephoning. Upon arriving, I was made welcomed, but had to wait almost 30 minutes before being seen. The staff member that checked her, was also friendly, and explained she would need the wound flushing, and stitching. I then got a telephone call at home, three hours later, telling me she was ready to go home. When I got there, I was a bit shocked to see her bandage was soaked with blood, as well as a veterinary nurse telling me, they accidently snipped a small vein whilst cleaning the wound. I was also told, due to the difficulty of sticting the wound, it may be the pad might need removing. However, although this information was helpful to know, they told me it should take approximately two weeks to heal, yet it was almost five weeks in healing. Thus a ten minute walk after the two week period, left the wound breaking open and bleeding. However, I accept the wound was stitched to the best they could do, and the wound has healed lovely now. They also prescribed four days of medication, ample to keep her calm and in minimum pain. I probably would use Vets Now if there was no other option, and it was an emergency again, but I would make sure their emergency fee didn't creep up from what was originally quoted, as the fees from the surgery and medication are high enough.

Very overpriced, we had to use the emergency service but due to how busy they were level of emergency very slow as lack of staff to deal with it. Considering the prices they charge you would have thought they could afford more staff on

I was quite surprised at how dirty the examination room was. We did call on a very busy day, but from the state of the room, I felt it hadn't had a deep clean in a long time. The vet was wonderful and knowlegable which is the important bit. However, seeing blood over the floor is very off putting.

Correct diagnosis and advice. Missing information on controlled drug that was issued, no informed consent given for the controlled drug. Failed to send information to our own vet despite reassuring that this would be done on Monday. Our own vet raised the complaint with you about the controlled drug.

I thought the out of hours charge was inflated & there needs to be more of a variation for the type of out of hours care needed. Our female cat had cystitis but she wasn’t even given antibiotics. She was with the vet for 5-7 mins which cost £200

i think that of you work with animals you have to be an animal lover . I didn’t feel that with the vet we saw . Having said that , she put our mind’s at rest and did all the right checks .

Great care of dog but worrying call at 7am on Saturday to ask to pick him up when we thought he was going back to normal vets. Disappointing £15 charge on invoice to submit insurance form which other vets do not charge for and is not reclaimable

The staff were great and really friendly It’s just a shame it’s one of those systems where if you work you get penalised and if you don’t you get it for free, I think the price could be more reasonable
