Got a quote which said the Total Payable was £267.18. They then said I needed to pay by monthly instalments to get the " Discount " They then said it was over £400 with add ons. Total Payable is just that. The total Payable. Rip Off scam company. Be Aware.

Had email stating I must contact them to validate my details.Tried phoning for 2 days, on hold for half an hour several times & no answer. Requested a call back. No one phoned back. They said they would cancel my insurance if I did not phone them. I went with Direct Line instead who did not treat me this way & were cheaper! I won’t be using any van or car comparison sites again but particularly wanted to warn people about Van Compare

You can not speak to anyone unless you are buying the policy, phones are unanswered, emails are returned and there is no alternative address supplied, the online chat is useless as they say they will act and pass it on but don’t and written complaints are ignored and they threaten with debt collectors - you can’t get through to discuss. Absolute con!

I insured one of my vehicles through van compare. All seemed fine at first. They took nearly £140 deposit and I didn’t hear off them for a couple of days. Then out of the blue 2 threatening emails and a text message saying they were cancelling my insurance unless I phoned to verify. And 30 minutes on hold and a 30 minute call they’d upped the price of my insurance by around £20, they taken the deposit and spread it amongst my monthly payments which was not originally agreed upon and finally the woman said everything was verified. A few days later, another call. This time asking for a picture of my driving license. I told him I’d sent it and I wasn’t happy they were still contacting me after being told everything had been verified. He apologised and said he could see that was the case and that would be the end of it. Then a few days later their contacting me again!! Same issues!! More threatening emails and texts. Then a call. I then request to make a complaint and cancel the policy. They put me on hold. Then cut off the call. I call back. They do the same thing again. I go on the chat, and the operator is blatantly ignoring my questions. I request to make a complaint via the chat. And still I’m ignored. This company has taken my deposit and used it incorrectly which I feel is unlawful deduction from my bank account. They have harassed me constantly. And breached their own complaints policies and terms and conditions.

Service is absolutely diabolical. Did a quote on a van and came back for 13000 for the year………. Phone then rings so I answer I told her I just did a quote and came back for 13000 she replied with we will update our service and then ends the phone. The company is a pile of wank and need closing

TERRIBLE! AWFUL! TOTAL SCAM! Tried to cancel on the day I took out the insurance. Called time after time. Spent hours on hold. Requested countless call backs. Sent emails. Got nothing back! Have cancelled the direct debit so van compare can go swivel. Dreadful company. The list of unhappy and negative reviews proves it. Have reported van compare to BBC’s rogue traders and they are following up mine and others cases. Watch this space

I took out a policy, paid in full, cancelled within the cooling off period as it turned out to be a lot more expensive. I’m struggling to get my money back from Van Compare. This has been going on for 5 weeks now with no conclusion. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Transferred to a new policy on the day I px’d the old van…… they never cancelled the old policy, even though I spoke to them 6 times on the day of px. Then they sent threatening reminders for repayments on the old policy AND asked for more money on the new policy! Absolutely shocking customer service, and no response to emails….. steer clear!

This company is absolutely useless,they keep telling me to pay for insurance I don't have.I have threatened them with the insurance onwardsman and they are still threatening me saying I still owe for insurance I have not had. I THINK THERE SYSTEM IS TOTALLY BACKWARD,PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU USE THESE IDIOTS,Beware ,Beware,Beware

Totally disgusted with the customers service regarding my refund for policy that I cancelled. They took £500.38 minus there cancellation £25 charges and still haven't refunded me money back.rand so many times spoke to someone to be told they will ring me back on a number of occasions. But they can't say when.

Absolute con...... I got hooked in with a great price, filled in the details and paid in full. Then your emailed with a telephone number to call to activate policy, only to be told its more expensive. Then cancelled immediately, and told a charge of £25 would be made to cancel. Do not use this web site!! Made a complaint to their customer services only to be told the charge would remain, and was signed off with '"have a great day", thanks a lot

If I could give 0 stars I would, have had nothing but hassle from vanline direct, harrasment, calling me every day demanding money. Sort that out then call again wanting more money, sorted that then rang again wanting even more, each time threatening to cancell my policy, I have contact the underwriter, the finance provider and the ombudsman

DON'T even think about it! - they are dodgy! I completed an application yesterday and today re-completed the details on the phone to reconfirm everything and my premium magically increased from £250 - £377! - and because I refused to pay the hike and cancelled the insurance they stated they'd be charging me £25 admin fee (its in their terms and conditions apparently) - however my insurance hasn't even started with them so I'm not sure how that works - but I'll find out from the UK insurance ombudsman as it seems a twist to me.. - they remind me of the bad old days of 'insurance' conmen..

Agreed this years premium and paid in full. Didn't notice the email they sent me later saying that they had underquoted and were charging me £20 extra. Only noticed when I checked my account weeks later. By then too late to cancel. Always dealt with them by phone, could they not have called if there was a problem. Been with them a few years now but will not be renewing. Buyers beware.

No after sales service, no customer service phone number only on line chat. Must have tried for hours and hours to get an answer to a very simple issue, only when I said I would cancel did someone contact me and they still write the wrong name on the policy. Completely dreadful experience. Please avoid! Will never use again.

I was hit by another vehicle whilst stationary in a parking bay by a driver that lost control,passed my claim over to Kindertons and after giving them whiteness details and location so video evidence could be viewed…still waiting for it to be sorted ….accident happened 17-12-2020…absolutely useless !

What a ripoff. Gave me my insurance, then demanded more documents. With no way to contact them. Automated system just round in circles. Their own system put me through to a number of companies who didn't know them, nor did they have any records of me on their systems. Then emailed threat of cancelation. Then told they going to take an aditional 25% £118 from my card plus admin fee of £35. Who the hell do they think they are. I'm now waiting for a response to their latest demand. I've told them to remove my son from the insurance so they can't charge the extra. Lets see what they do. Steer clear, they are
