After paying the dental insurance for more than an year, I claimed £45 for a visit to the dentist including the check and xray and I was told I don’t get payed for that. I’m in NI and don’t get NHS. So I will cancel the insurance and go for a plan with my dentist. They asked me. i said no as I have a plan. So I payed in full.

Poor cover compared to previous providers and customer service weren't very helpful, they didn't actually tell me that they had closed my account for example.

Disorganised, incompetent and unreliable. Claims are declined as standard process and then there is a lengthy procedure to convince them that a health practitioner is indeed registered. Not worth the money / effort. Operating on the principle that you will end up paying more / receive less benefits.

My plan is with Smile Assured. Each time I have had to submit a claim online the system doesn't recognise my membership number. You have the option to carry on with the claim but they never process it. They tell me they haven't received it. This system is very flawed and not the easiest to navigate. Smile Assured always point me in the direction of www.hospitalsaturday.co.uk to question why the claim isn't acknowledge and to resubmit. It really isn't as simple as they tell you when you are purchasing the plan. When I complained they told me to leave feedback here. However I'll be posting on Trustpilot too.

I was not happy at the way my treatment was handled explaining that I will not be receiving a refund for £70 worth of X-rays and routine check because my dentist is NHS and Private but I only have cover for NHS

My daughter and I went to get eyes tested for annual two year check and glasses (02.09.2022). Apparently it was 3 days before my daughters eyes had actually been tested two years previously (05.09.2020) - despite the previous two year test having being a week earlier (27.08.2018). My claim was paid and my daughters refused!!! Had telephoned in August to check on our last tests and told 01.09.2020. Very unfair process.

I have been trying to claim £65.20 for dental work for 3 months and keep being fobbed off with lame excuses, such as "the receipt does not say what the work is for". This is a dentist's receipt for band 2 work, how much more info do you need?

After 18 years membership I find yet again reasons are being found to reject legitimate claims and increasingly find the logic applied to claims is to seek a way to reject claims and is done so in a cold and not in a caring customer fashion. So it looks like that after 18 years membership I will be moving my custom elsewhere. The latest example is the claim I submitted by post included the original full receipt and credit card receipt but the claim was rejected because somehow the receipts were not with my claim form according to UK Healthcare. This is not the first experience of this nature.

I took this dental plan out after being told that I can claim up to £500 per year , not what you have noted here. I don’t even understand your email nor the quotes sent So what exactly am I paying for? My dentist sent me to this dentist to have deep root canal work as she couldn’t get the root out, I assumed it came under my policy Please send me a list of what I can claim for, how often and what for Thank you Clare Maguire

After having a stroke I was discharged 14 April 2022 I submitted the claim several times but they said it was unreadable, so I posted the claim 19 April with 2 second stamps to make sure that you received it ASAP, however I have been told that I should receive it within the next 5 working days. I feel that I have been treated appallingly considering the length of time I have being paying. I had a shoulder operation in January I received £10 other than that I have only had optical claims. After I had my operation I applied for help cleaning I was told that I would need a letter from my doctor which I got after paying £15 only to have the claim rejected.

Absolute rubbish, everytime I try to make a claim it doesn't download my receipt. It's as if they don't want to pay my claim.

They will jot allow family who has traveled from Ga to Kentucky under emergency circumstances to see immediate family who were in a horrible car accident and some of which are needing emergency surgery. Horrible treatment from management, unkind, unjust, unfair inconsiderate. Back in Ga this does not happen. We understand COVID issues and to many visitors but not with immediate family. Above all the family hurt has given permission for us to visit but hospital upper management is denying this mentally, emotionally encouraging opportunity for the family. Not Right! Family First!

I submitted my claim and never got paid. I had to email for the THIRD TIME and am STILL WAITING to be paid. One of the WORST and most complicated insurance companies I have ever used. ALL PHOTOS have to be PDF when the most common systems for all photograps is JPEG. This is my FIRST CLAIM and have been paying in for over 2 YEARS. UTTER RUBBISH

Totally long winded Cancellation procedure. Rang today to cancel the policy for which I have not claimed for a while ( Simple treatment I have never seems to be covered, hygienists visits etc ) instead of accepting that, they kept citing their ‘ cancellation process’ which means a phone call from them within 48 hours - presumably from someone who will call to try to get me to retain the policy or transfer to another. Why can’t they just cancel the policy with one phone call from me, the person who Is paying the policy. They can see thus hasnt been claimed on for an age. I’m trying to get rid of unnecessary direct debits and this procedure does not help.

If you are thinking of taking out a policy with this company then think twice as I have found them to be totally incompetent staff poorly trained and constant make mistakes time and time again .
