About U Drive Cover:

U Drive Cover Limited is an independent insurance intermediary wholly owned by a senior management team with over 50 years experience in the non-standard insurance market covering motor, commercial vehicle, fleet, household and motorcycle.

We welcome enquiries from customers with an accident or motoring conviction history as well as modified vehicles. We can offer up to 65% discount for ex company car drivers with an accident-free history or for households where there is more than one car. We also offer cover for any car from a Mini to a Ferrari and for all ages from 17 to 99.

U Drive Cover Limited was formed to offer customers a personal approach. We treat each customer as an individual and offer an excellent service. Coupled with our excellent relationships with major Insurers, this enables us to offer competitive premiums as well as the personal touch. For the convenience of customers we do offer online quotations and the opportunity to purchase online but we also feel that we can make a difference by listening to the customer’s individual needs.

The U Drive Cover Limited offices are based In the UK and are manned by staff that have many years’ experience in providing these products. We do encourage existing and new customers to call us as there are many rating factors that can influence car insurance premiums and we welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs. Our aim is to prove that excellent service does not mean that you have to pay higher premiums.

“I have given them 1 star but only as I couldn't give them 0 star, took our money for a policy, we didn't take on, £110, now won't give us it back robbing bs, please stay clear, no documents issued nothing and Have treated it as a cancellation, offered us just over £30 back, cause they said we mis - represented, this was after we refused the updated quote, a mistake was made (but saying common law wife instead of married, its a joke STAY AWAY”

“I recently cancelled my car insurance with this company and was shocked to receive an outstanding balance of £289.65. They did offer a settlement fee of £180.00, but I still felt it was unreasonable. The payment plan options of 3 or 6 months also seemed high for the amount owed as they add interest to it Aswell. Overall, I was not happy with the service and fees charged by this company. I have raised the case with financial ombudsman services as company provided their last response. I would NOT recommend this company as there are companies with better service out there.”

“I cancelled my policy with 7 months still remaining as my son passed his test and took on a new policy. After paying £600 as payment they only gave me £39.40 back very poor .”

“Starting off with a premium to capture you promising the world but then within the first phone call after paying there is suddenly another £200 required because the insurance brokers have asked . Next there’s further documents and oh some more money is now required . I eventually asked to remove a driver which they wanted just short of £400 for or i could cancel the policy and lost 30% but actually i would only receive less than half of wha to paid for it less than a month ago . I believe they are absolute scammers sounds like they make up charges to suit the situation . Communication is poor its either harassment or non existent and unclear . I doubt they are ashamed of themselves for how they manipulate the customer . I was left with either losing £600 cancellations or paying another £381 to continue my policy that’s after paying £1200 for a provisional driver with one other named driver with many no points etc . I have asked for their complaints policy and procedure and received a link to nothing so about sums it up really . I would think the Financial Ombudsman will have already heard of these cowboy sellers .”

“If your wanting 6 points on your licence for no insurance then this is the company to make that happen. I took out a policy at the end of October I paid down payment of nearly £100 and to continue with monthly instalments. Since this time I have not heard anything from u drive cover concerning my policy by email phone or post. I thought it abit strange I never received anything through the post but thought all must be ok. I then get pulled over by police stating I had no insurance. I got hold of u drive cover just today what with the bank holidays etc and I'm told the policy was cancelled because they could not reach me by email to confirm something about the policy. I said I had received nothing by email and what was wrong with letting me know by post if they could see that I was not answering to the alleged email ? They tell me they don't contact by post just email. The best part of it all is I have to pay which is already up around £250 + £50 a day after to get my car back, then the lovely little 6 POINTS to go on top of that, what a result I have had eh" So stay clear of these people they are bad news. “Horrible customer service. Guy I spoke to gave for cancellation was really angry as I said I don’t want to share my details which I never have shared with any insurer for last 15 years!!! THEY ARE NOT NEEDED. He then said you can call us back on 03332001061 This is one of those premium rate adult line numbers. Well done UDrive for having such people in your cancellations team.”

“Be careful, and don’t believe what you read on here, mainly the 5 star reviews I believe there business model is to reel you in with a cheap quotes, which will, almost certainly change for the worst when there verification checks come back, as stated in the negative reviews, charge cancellation fees for no service or insurance and continue to harass you for more money I lost £91 and they are chasing me for a further £207, for what? I do not know as I have stopped all contact with them. I took the hit of the deposit, and moved on We’ll see how that goes. AVOID!!”

“Abysmal service, lack of professionalism and competency. I was told on 3 separate occasions I’d be called back only to then not hear from them for 3-4 days. Validation checks took up to 5 days. One staff member in particular was condescending and disrespectful, when I complained about her to her seniors I received a lengthy email from the complaints team of which addressed absolutely nothing I had complained about and painted me out to be angry about the cancellation fee as I had asked for a refund as I’d be taking my money elsewhere. Definitely would not recommend this organisation unless you are fond of being spoken to disrespectfully, poor communication and incompetence.”

“I sorted my mothers insurance out as her technology skills and english is not that good. Yet when it came to discussing the policy and/or cancelling it you refused to discuss it with myself. Your advisor refuses to give a pro rata refund and I will be taking this further. Very poor service”

“Very shocking company don’t use stay way charged me £257 deposit send my information in 7 days they said there cancelling my insurance due to not receiving my information which I did and then got the cheek to charge me £377 stay away”
