About U Drive Cover:

U Drive Cover Limited is an independent insurance intermediary wholly owned by a senior management team with over 50 years experience in the non-standard insurance market covering motor, commercial vehicle, fleet, household and motorcycle.

We welcome enquiries from customers with an accident or motoring conviction history as well as modified vehicles. We can offer up to 65% discount for ex company car drivers with an accident-free history or for households where there is more than one car. We also offer cover for any car from a Mini to a Ferrari and for all ages from 17 to 99.

U Drive Cover Limited was formed to offer customers a personal approach. We treat each customer as an individual and offer an excellent service. Coupled with our excellent relationships with major Insurers, this enables us to offer competitive premiums as well as the personal touch. For the convenience of customers we do offer online quotations and the opportunity to purchase online but we also feel that we can make a difference by listening to the customer’s individual needs.

The U Drive Cover Limited offices are based In the UK and are manned by staff that have many years’ experience in providing these products. We do encourage existing and new customers to call us as there are many rating factors that can influence car insurance premiums and we welcome the opportunity to listen to your needs. Our aim is to prove that excellent service does not mean that you have to pay higher premiums.

Anna Bileskalna was helpful and I hope she joins a better insurance company or broker. I wouldn’t recommend U drive cover to anyone though, but Anna was great in terms of customer service so hats off to her.

Beware of Hidden Costs and Deceptive Practices at U Drive Cover Ltd!! Review: Before I begin let me share a link with you. The FCA is investigating Close Brothers for malpractice and Udrive do their financing through them. Misleading Initial Quote and Deposit: I began with an insurance quote via GoCompare for £580 annually. After making a deposit of £133, extensive questioning by their team led to an increased premium of £1039. Constrained by a hefty £75 cancellation fee, I felt compelled to proceed. Exorbitant Financing APR: It was later revealed that financing was managed by Close Brothers, with an extortionate APR of 57.15%. This rate is exceptionally high and was not transparently communicated during the initial discussions, adding to my financial burden. Importantly, Close Brothers is currently under scrutiny for their practices in the motor finance industry. More details on this investigation can be found here. Cancellation for Trivial Delay: After agreeing to the terms, I encountered administrative issues, including repetitive document requests. Despite my attempts to comply within business hours, my policy was cancelled for a trivial delay—my email was sent at 7:02 PM, just two minutes past their closing time of 7:00 PM. Excessive Financial Penalties: Post-cancellation, I was charged £100 via direct debit and later billed an additional 40% of the contract total, amounting to £292, all within four weeks of the policy period. This was for a service that was never effectively rendered. Inadequate Customer Service: Throughout this ordeal, the customer service was severely lacking. The communication was poor, and there seemed to be a deliberate lack of effort to resolve any issues efficiently. Conclusion: I strongly advise caution to potential customers considering U Drive Cover Ltd. The opaque quoting process, exorbitant APR, and inflexible administrative protocols contributed to a disappointing and financially painful experience.

exellent phone help with my enquiry, have little computer skills but solomon accessed the dvla web and downloaded the details and document i needed to send to udrive and in doing so cut out the stress i get from such things.

Had issues with getting my DVLA check code but the staff were very patient, helpful and understanding. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews but each to their own. I'd like to personally thank Hannah over the months she's been understanding with me, she's amazing. Just called back now and Hakeem answered who was also very nice. Great company in my opinion. Wish I could thank the manager personally :)

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! They will rinse you of every penny and extort you to the highest level. They don’t make it clear with the T&C’s and if you or they cancel even within a very small time frame they charge you 40% of the entire premium. I wasn’t able to get hold of for a few days for being away and they wouldn’t accept it and just went ahead and cancelled my entire premium and charged me £1400 and didn’t even have use my of car with this insurance policy for more then 2 months. This is extortion on the highest level! So basically I got robbed of this money and now have to go through the whole insurance process again and not have the use of my car as a result of it which is highly frustrating! Do not fall for the same trap guys, unless you want to spend an arm and a leg! Use an insurance company that won’t screw you over and throw ludicrous sums of money at you if have a legitimate reason to not get hold of or if what ever reason you wish to cancel with them at any point and not have to pay 40/50% of the entirely year premium after only using it for a month or 2!

The price increased after I’d accepted the quote price. Very angry. The reason was I’d stated on my paperwork that I’d been driving for 40 years (I rounded this figure up as didn’t think it was that relevant). Apparently they wouldn’t accept the 40 year figure as it was actually 39 years and 8 months!!! And this apparently cost their admin approx £150 which they tried to charge me. I argued this ridiculous unexpected charge and as a good will gesture they agreed to reduce the amount by approx half. I felt I had no choice to agree but will never use them again.

U drive customer service and sale team are good but the way business handled is quite unethical as I see they provide some quote while purchase of insurance and it changes once we commit to buy by quoting personal check is not correct.
