“On the Cotswold Canals Connected restoration we have had three brick-arched bridges in need of repair. These bridges date from the 1780's through to the 1840's and, in most cases, the elevation of the arch ring has separated from the arch barrel. In addition, areas of vertical cracking is visible in the parapet and spandrel walls. After a comprehensive engineering assessment, the areas for repair were identified and items were purchased as required from Twistfix. The repair work is being carried out by a team of experienced volunteers under appropriate supervision. A pattern of Structural Repair Ties are being drilled and inserted into the arch ring, and Crack Stitching Bars are being let into the parapet and spandrel walls. The ordering and supply of the required items from Twistfix has been exemplary, with delivery often occuring the next day. Additionally, when some items were lost in the delivery system, replacements were dispatched without fuss.”

“Material is supposed to enable 10 twist rods to be covered but from practical point of view you need 2 x the amount of grout. Looks as though the material is good and the joint is looking good.”

“I used the 210mm long twistfix for holding down the 100mm insulation and counterbattens and tile battens on the construction of a warm roof These are the best secure fittings for this job”

“Sorry to say the grout didnt mix very well It was to dry and i had to poke the grout in. The gun you supplied was poor quality.”

Hi James Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your experience with the grout. When mixing the grout, we recommend adding the powder gradually to around two thirds of the liquid initially, and then adding more liquid as required to achieve the desired consistency. We have been selling this grout for many years and have great confidence in the product. Had we known at the time, we would have been more than happy to send you another tub. I also note your feedback regarding the mortar gun. This is a relatively new product for us, as we had experienced difficulties sourcing the previous model we supplied with these kits. We appreciate you taking the time to highlight your concerns, and we will certainly take your feedback on board. Thanks again for your honest feedback, and apologies for the inconvenience caused.

“Good to deal with but we paid for delivery before 10am and got delivery at 16.00pm holding my builders up for nearly a full day. And we have not been refunded for the delivery ?”

“It was very fast delivery, i ordered the crack fill epoxy resin, it set by next day it would of been better if a bit more runny for the floor crack to go deeper but I might of used wrong product. It worked well on wall crack and held in place.”
