“Mantle beam is beautiful and fixings are very simple. Really appreciated their customer service team getting in touch to confirm the details of my order and make adjustments.”

“I had a very long hard look at the various oak beam companies on the internet. Traditional beams looked the best. I ordered a 'made to measure' oak beam 'slightly rustic' with a medium oak finish. Communications with the company were excellent. Well I was not disappointed. The beam arrived in good time and was very well packed. The finish was excellent and looked very natural. It has transformed the fireplace that we are renovating and has received many positive comments from family and friends. Buy with confidence at a very good price. Thinking of ordering a thin beam to cover the remaining damaged bricks. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Traditional Beams.”

“Order was simple and when it was delivered we were delighted with the quality. The colour was a great match to what was shown on line and it went up easily (it is heavy as it's great quality so definitely need 2 people!)”

“Absolutely delighted with these wooden bathroom shelves! The quality is excellent, the wood looks beautiful and they feel very solid and well made. They are exactly as described and look even better in person. They have added a lovely warm and stylish touch to my bathroom, while also being very practical. The finish is beautiful, they were well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. I’m really pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend these shelves to anyone looking for something both attractive and good quality.”

“This is the 3rd time I have ordered a beam from Traditional Beams. Again the quality and service have been great. The original beam unfortunately arrived slightly damaged during transit, which was the fault of the courier not Traditional Beams. After contacting customer services they quickly organised a new beam to be sent out and the damaged beam to be sent back. The new beam arrived and it looks great! Thank you”

“I purchased two Danish oil Oak window fascias which look beautiful in my kitchen over the windows. One over the window and a longer one over the patio doors. Really adds character to my kitchen. Very pleased with them. Easy to erect. Fittings included. Definitely recommend. Great quality for the price.”

“Fantastic beam and service!! Catherine and Carly were so helpful in making my decision on colour. Went for the reclaimed oak beam in a Rugged Brown which was perfect match to my internal beams-sent a few photos to the team and they suggested this would be best colour match and they were right!!! Beautiful beam-very authentic looking for our 400 year old house. Great communication -definitely recommend them.”

“Ordered 2 floating shelves which arrived well packaged and no problem with the product. No installation instructions were included although I have the knowledge to fit them. The problem is securing the shelves to the bracket. There is no way to stop the shelf sliding back off the wall bracket so could easily fall during cleaning or if a child was to pull on the shelf.”

Hi Graham, Thank you for your feedback, and we're pleased to hear that your shelves arrived well packaged and that you were happy with the product. We are a paperless company and provide our installation instructions via PDF in the dispatch email. Regarding securing the shelf to the bracket, the final step of the instructions explains that you can use grab adhesive to secure the shelf if you wish. This is entirely optional and is intended to provide additional peace of mind rather than being a requirement. When the shelf is installed correctly, it shouldn't come off the bracket during normal use. To be removed, the shelf would need to slide the full length of the 120 mm fixing before it could come away from the wall, making accidental removal very unlikely. If you would prefer a permanent fixing, a small amount of grab adhesive can be applied during installation to prevent the shelf from sliding off altogether. If you ever need any guidance or support with installation, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. We'll always be happy to help and answer any questions you may have. I hope this helps.

“Didn’t get on too well with these as we used the wrong sized drill bits (drilling into plasterboard with brick behind) - and had to pay a builder to sort it out. Make sure you read instructions carefully otherwise you will end up with two big holes in the wall !”

Hi Jacqui, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you had this experience and understand how frustrating it must have been. Using the correct drill bit size is essential for a successful installation, so we recommend following the instructions carefully. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope it helps other customers.
