“I received my beam and it was at first fine. As it is real oak there are changes to be expected within weeks an unsightly crack along the top. Which is rough and would cut your finger to touch Where I can appreciate the rustic look a hideous looking raised crack I would. I am disappointed with the response from the traditional beam staff”

“The whole package from website ordering to delivery was everything you would want. The fire place oak beam I ordered is of great quality and was straight forward to fit but did need a bit of muscle to slide onto the brackets supplied, but this only gave me more confidence that the beam will not slip away from support rods secured in the wall”

“AMAZING AS EVER!!! Purchased a beam for our stove many years ago so wanted an oak shelf so used Tradtional Beams once again. Never in doubt and beautiful product! Don’t buy from other funky furniture companies use this company as they are amazing!!”

“I ordered 4 shelves off you, it would be better for the customer if you allowed them to have the product "cut to length". As the fittings are too close to the ends, so If you want to cut to size you need to drill new holes. Lastly, two of my beams had defects (caused by drill or blade), this was very disappointing, only highlighted after fitting and when uplit”

We do offer this service, you would have needed to leave a note with your order asking for them to be cut to size and our production team will have picked that up for you. “Nice floating shelves. Just what we wanted above the kitchen worktops. But installation not easy for 2 reasons. 1. You have to mark (with pencil) the centre of bracket on wall but there is no way to do that as the bracket obscured the centre. 2. Brackets aren’t square so if you fit them upside down your shelf will slope. They don’t mention that. Better instructions would be a big help.”

Hi Graham, thanks for your feedback, we are pleased to hear you are happy with your Shelves for your kitchen, sorry to hear you did not find the installation process easy, we do email easy to follow installation instructions and the T Brackets supplied are ready versatile and a very clever design - when you tighten the shelf support it should level it as the rod is forced against the back plate the front part of the plate should lift. This will get the rods level :)
