When i filled the order there was a section for instructions for delivery i did state to leave the parcel next door but instead it was protruding from the letter box sa this is a busy road it could easily been taken.the time of delivery to receiving parcel was very good

I arranged with your courier to leave the hedge trimmer I bought from you in my sunroom so did,nt have any contact with the driver but when i opened the sunroom door I could see the box they came in was in tatters and the contents scattered around the cardboard that once was I presume a box for the bosch trimmers on inspection it looked as if the machine had spent a long time on the floor because it was dirty and scratched but they seem to work ok though.

I was sent the wrong item, then had to be in the following day so that it could be collected. The correct item was not delivered at the time the incorrect item was collected so I had to make sure that I was in the following day, as well to receive the correct item. I called customer service when the incorrect item was collected and told them that I needed the goods for the following day, as it was a birthday present. I was told I would get a call back within 30 minutes to let me know when I would get the item The call back never happened. I had to wait in at home for three separate days to get the correct item and not once did anyone I spoke to apologise for the inconvenience. I could have got the same item for the same price from Amazon, but I try to support smaller businesses wherever possible. It is experiences like this that make people flock to Amazon. Very disappointed.

Hi Kieran, thank you for your review, we can only offer our fullest apologies for the catalogue of disasters that befell your order. Unfortunately when goods/parcels are delivered wrongly a collection has to be raised so it does mean waiting in for carriers etc. The second error was again a human error and a full investigation was launched which resulted in disciplinary procedures for the member of staff concerned. The site was not easy to use and would not allow me to have the product delivered to a more convenient address. I can understand security issues but the item was under £20.

Hi, thank you for your review, however we think you have mixed us up with another Company? Your order was received at 9.18 Am and was picked , packed and in the post by 14.52pm that afternoon? Item ordered, delivery was estimated to be on 11th August. Finally arrived 20th August. Great delivery well done

Was told will be delivered Monday when ordered then it was delivered Wednesday . Not good enough and when I called the lady just told me it was despatched not good enough

Hi, thank you for your review, we have looked at your order and can see that it was promised for despatch on Monday not delivery, we think you have misread the despatch/delivery schedule on the Website as we would never promise a Monday delivery for an order placed Saturday. Earliest delivery for this order was Tuesday. However we would also accept that there was a delay on the Tuesday at the carriers so we offer our apologies for this delay. Hi James, thank you for your review, you are quite correct your order has been delayed, you ordered four different items, two of which will be with you today, one has been discontinued and we have e-mailed you to inform you and the other one has a stock problem at the manufacturer again we have sent you an e-mail. Please accept our apologies for the delay unfortunately when you list over 60,000 products from over 300 manufacturers including many hard to get items that others do not list sometimes delays do occur. Although Item was dispatched quickly, the item was bizarrely bent. After phoning immediately and getting a return pick up the next day, I had to contact the company to see where my item was 5 days later only to be told they were refunding, rather than replacing..... They seemingly sent a returns form.... however it is only referenced in a small piece of text in an automated email. However refund so slow the company after 5 days was able to stop this and then resend my package??? How bizarre and poor!! If a company uses DPD who track parcels and time allocate delivery why can't they collect the faulty item and delivery a new one at the same time.... since other companies do this...the clear answer is that Tooled Up don't want to?? I have to say that you should buy with caution on the basis that if you have to return things are not as easy to arrange.... and I am always concerned about companies who are more willing to take your money than give it back..... Do you get this service from someone like John Lewis.... the answer is no!!.... sometimes paying that little extra is worth it when you have a problem!!

Very poor delivery service still not received items . Got email saying delivery is Friday . Then another saying sorry won't be until Monday . Then another saying been delivered and signed for with the time ,but still not received items !!

Ordered 50 meters watering hose on reel from them. Took them a week to deliver which is too long for in stock item. Connector to the water tap was at the base of the reel covered by 50 meters of hose. There was no note in the carton where to look for connector. I assumed they did not supply it, so had to go and buy new one on homebase. The only good thing is that the hose itself was £20 cheaper than the same at homebase.

The product I ordered was fine , but the service was not . I placed the order and was given a delivery date of the 23rd . On the 25th the item had still not been delivered , why ? because the item had not even been sent ! So after my inquiry to why I had not recieved my item it was then sent out ,this time and was told it would still be delivered on the 23rd , but today was the 25th ( back to the future sprigs to mind ) . Very poor , no reason given and even worse not even an apology . I know we all make mistakes but a reason or an apology would have been nice . By time the item arrived it was then to late for the job I was doing . Will use screwfix next time . Even worst I was charged £1 for the free postage ? Work that one out !!!

I ordered a replacement blade for a mower on the 18th of June, paying £3.95 for postage, and received it on the 27th of June, a total of 10 days including the order date and the receiving date. I was emailed on Monday the 22nd of June to tell me that the item had been dispatched but it did not arrive until Saturday the 27th. I subsequently phoned Tooled Up about the delay, I was told that the item had been dispatched "1st" class by Royal Mail but they were unable to do anything until 10 to 14 days had passed from the date of posting. I have ordered numerous items on the Internet and have always received them in a speedy manner, but this was my worst experience by far. Perhaps this company should review their list of carriers as Royal Mail does not have the best of reputations, little wonder that the competition of other carriers continues to grow. Incidentally, this is my first review ever. Sincerely John Walker.

Hi John, thank you for your review, We have checked the timeline of your order and can see that we did despatch the item you had ordered within our advised timescale on the Website. However it did take longer than the standard 1-2 days to reach you. We used the Royal Mail 1st Class Packet Post which is still a service way ahead of carriers for small, light and inexpensive items. If it wasn't we would not use them. You are correct in that Parcel Carriers are growing a pace but they still cannot compete directly with the Royal Mail on the small,light ,low cost traffic. We send thousands of items out by Royal Mail every week and have a lower than a quarter of 1% failure rate. We could send everything by carrier but it would certainly cost more and would you want to wait in all day to sign for something that could easily fit through your letterbox? We would also point out that the 10-14 day period is the lost parcel time as quoted by the Royal Mail before a parcel can be considered lost by them, we take a view on all reported lost parcels and can sort this out much faster on most occasions and would certainly have done so on this occasion had the item not arrived when it did. To conclude we are very sorry that your delivery was delayed on this occasion and we have raised a refund of the P&P charge as a gesture of goodwill. We trust that this is acceptable to you? This was not a good customer experience. Having ordered two related items, one was dispatched after a week and the other wasn't dispatched at all. The item that did arrive had two things missing (manufacturer's fault, not Tooled-up). This was a nuisance but what was more frustrating was the lack of response from customer service who did a very poor job of keeping me informed. I was warned that I might not hear back before 5pm that day, but it was actually on the second day after that before I had my call returned or email answered. Meanwhile, I was left in the dark about whether any effort or progress was being made to address my problem - a simple call or email to report progress would have gone along way! It was almost 2 weeks after ordering before I was able to use the equipment purchased with a 3-5 day dispatch time quoted.

Despite my receiving 6 emails from you. you failed to supply the goods in the arbitrary time frame you gave me. In fact, had it not been for the enterprise of the DPD driver called Samuel I would have totally wasted a day waiting for delivery. After I had cancelled the delivery by a day, Samuel took a chance and called with the package just as i was leaving the house. on the original day. So good for him but poor administration to you.

Hi, thank you for your review, although we must confess that we are slightly confused as to why you have given us only two stars and what we did wrong? We have checked the tracking of your order. You ordered at 21.48 on a Saturday night. The Website advised we would despatch on the Monday which we did by overnight carrier. We e-mailed you full tracking details. You were e-mailed on Tuesday morning by DPD and advised that the delivery was on its way but you yourself cancelled the delivery and re-scheduled it for Wednesday?
