I have not received the tool I ordered, I was about to contact yourselves and e bay when your review arrived on my laptop. I was charged £3.99p postage on the tool I ordered, which was only had a £12 purchase price. I would like my money refunded. Then I will find a supplier who can give me a reliable service. APOLOGY for previous rant. at 5.30 p.m this evening the Stanley plane iron I ordered was delivered.

The spirit level arrived promptly as is as described. However it was just packed loose banging around in a large cardboard tube. Rattling around in there must be damaging to a precision instrument! Have you not head of packing material? I will let you know if it proves to still be accurate!!

When ordering the goods I assumed they were in stock, there was nothing on the company website to indicate otherwise. When I received an e-mail saying they were out of stock I thought I should have shopped elsewhere. About a week late the goods arrived.

Hi Dr Rolfe, thank you for your review, we list over 60,000 lines on our Website and every item has a despatch date or delivery time displayed on it. Many of our items are in stock ready to go but it is inevitable with such a wide range that includes many hard to get items that occasionally items are not ready to go immediately. This particular product was flagged as being on 10 working days despatch time as we were waiting fresh stock to arrive and we did despatch within that time frame on this occasion. Ordered a set of facts Allen keys and were meant to be dispatched within 5-7 days.... Only after I had called to find out what was going on the product had been dispatched 12 days later.... Poor form

Hi, thank you for your review, we are sorry that your order was delayed beyond our initial despatch date. This particular product is brought in from France. Recent problems at Calais have caused sporadic delays but an extra delay was caused on this occasion by the manufacturer sending the wrong product so it had to be resent. Unfortunately your delivery driver was unable to make either myself or my neighbour heard, last friday when he attempted to deliver the parcel to me. I am keeping everything crossed for a better outcome tomorrow. A.J.Baker

Tooled-Up.com have a great range of stock and all the premium brands. It is a good resource for reviews and further information on products but not all items are available for immediate dispatch and delivery is not quick. You need to check the delivery on each individual product and expect the latest date stated. I wouldn't mind the slow delivery if it was free but you are charged delivery. They are also unable to tell you what delivery will cost until you have added everything to your basket and gone through to payment. Nowhere in the help does it tell you the pricing thresholds for weight or value of your order. This needs to be simplified and clarified for better service. For the same brand items these guys have often beaten Screwfix and Jewsons on price, who are my local suppliers, but odd time they have been significantly more expensive so always worth shopping round.

The only set-back is the delivery time. I ordered Tuesday hoping that the goods would be delivered by Friday to be used at the weekend, although I was warned it could be five working days. Flymo offered next day delivery but their on-line booking system would not allow a delivery address different to the card address. UNSUBSCRIBE at this point.

Hi David, Thank you for your review, we list over 60,000 lines so it is inevitable that sometimes products are not on the shelf ready to leave immediately, we did advise the 3-5 day despatch time because when you ordered we were awaiting stock to arrive. Courier used parcel force telephoned at 9am to say the would be a delivery that day. Stayed in all day. Had another call at 17.30 to say the parcel would be delivered between 18.00 and 19.00. Not best pleased with courier communication. Wasted a day waiting for delivery

I ordered the pruner 30 minutes before next days delivery according to website but it arrived at the end of the day 2 days later. If website cloxk says its within next day tgat shoukd have happened.

Took a long time to possess and despatch. Bit when it finally crawled through the system. Everything was fine. Good quality. Well packed. Would use again but not if I was in a huge hurry for the tool.

Hi Timothy, thank you for your review, we are sorry that your order appeared to be a long time arriving but it was despatched within our advised timescale. We list over 65,000 items many of which are in stock and despatched immediately but we include many that are hard to get or simply not listed elsewhere because they have a longer lead time. We did advise a 5-7 working days despatch time on the particular part you had ordered because it was out of stock at the time you ordered it and this particular item comes from France. On checking the despatch schedule we can see that we actually despatched the goods on day 6 so within our advised schedule. Thank you for your order. Regards, tooled up

Product looks good. Pity the courier failed to take heed of delivery instructions in the event that no-one was in. So instead goods were returned to Post Office, where they were not available until a day later, which was too late.

Hi John, thank you for your review, however we think you may have reviewed the wrong company? We have checked your order, it was despatched on the day we received the order and delivered the next day and we did not charge you anything for postage? You then placed another order which again was despatched the same day it was received. This did attract a P&P charge as it was sent by next day carrier. The P&P charge was advised at the basket stage, we always do this thus allowing the customer to choose to go ahead or not with that order. spirit level seems ok but Disappointed with delivery service supposed to be delivered on Friday as i was waiting to use it, it arrived on Monday PM they said no one was in (but there was) they give it to next door neighbors

The grease gun and flexible hose I ordered arrived within three days and I was happy they arrived in a timely manner. However, despite assurances from your technical team that the hose was compatible with this particular gun, there was no way I could connect it. Contacting your technical team again, they confirmed my findings and said that I needed a different gun to use with the flexible hose. The team member I spoke to was very helpful and is arranging for me to return the items. Overall I am disappointed in being given incorrect information when I placed the order.

The site was clear and the value for money was excellent. Goods were delivered quickly however, the checkout process left a lot to be desired. The first time I tried to checkout the site failed to complete. To be fair it did warn that the order may have gone through and that I should check for a confirmation email or phone the company for confirmation. As it was late on Tuesday evening I decided to wait a bit and see if an email arrived but none came. I decide to order again as even if I recieved two items I reckoned I could make use of them. This time the order went through OK but I did not receive a confirmation email. On Thursday morning two items were deliver by post. On the plus side.....ease of ordering, good price and speed of delivery. On the minus side..Problems with checkout and no confirmation email.
