Goods arrived safely, tested and all ok. only problem was, I ordered the product on friday because it said order for next day delivery which i did because i needed it saturday. it didn't turn up until monday. i thought it was a bit misleading stating next day delivery. very disappointed with this as i had to make other arrangements to get me by.

Asked for review before item arrived! Then received call at 7.26 am (asleep) to say arriving that day, the 4th August. Did arrive 12.30pm. Seems OK cutting small (20mm) and trying to get used to 'swivel handle' - should be a useful addtion to our garden tools. Brian, Canfield

Delivery driver went to wrong house, called the company and they told me he would be back within the hour, Driver never showed up. I rang again and they spoke to the driver and he said he would deliver my parcel after he had finished his round at about 6 pm. But he did not show up.

Hi, thank you for your review, we have checked the details of your order. The delivery did fail as the Driver went to the wrong house. After you contacted us we arranged for the Driver to go back at the end of his round as you requested. However in the meantime your partner had gone onto the DPD website and arranged for the parcel to be left at a local collection point. We have now ,as you have requested ,arranged for the item to be returned to us for a refund as you could not collect the package from the chosen collection point. We are sorry that the original delivery went wrong but do feel that we tried to help and had got the problem sorted when it was re-arranged at your end. Great service once goods ordered.Delivery tracking excellent. However,I did call twice with a question and was put through to a call centre or similar who said they would call me back after consulting with the technical department.But on both occasions nobody bothered to call me back.A lot to be desired here.

Good dispatch / delivery and communication regarding that, however due to missing parts (no fault of Tooled-Up) return / refund matters receive no prompt attention / communication ..... hence the Normal rating above.

the goods were delivered in the time stated but to follow your instructions for tracking I found no way on the site link that even mentioned tracking, my first bit of fast garbled information came from an automated telephone voice that you had great difficulty to understand. JUST HAD TO WAIT IN ALL MORNING. WILLIAM,

Hi William, thank you for your review, although we must admit to some confusion as we do not use any automated message systems so can only assume that you called the carriers after receiving their delivery advice? The carriers we used on this occasion do advise 90 minutes before delivery with an e-mail and/or txt if the information is provided by yourself. Thank you for your order. Regards, tooled up

The system worked well enough at the stage of placing the order on Thursday 16th July but order tracking was slow to kick in. Goods were delivered on time following a pre-advice on Wednesday 22nd July timed at 8.29am that delivery would be made between 11.40am and 12.40pm. Not really enough prior notice. Goods were delivered in the advised time window and were securely packed in undamaged packing. I have certainly had better service on many occasions, hence the 'Normal' rating

A good product easily assembled. It was slightly disappointing to find that a product marked as available next day was, in fact, out of stock.

Delivery was very quick and came at the promised date and time. The delivery man was cheerful, pleasant and courteous. The company does not appear to have technicians who can answer queries regarding the products they sell. The sales assistant referred me to Bosch, giving me the incorrect telephone number the first time.

Good value for money. Delivery time poor. Things ordered after your order arrived before your order. Had to e-mail you to find out when delivery likely, despatched almost immediately after e-mail.

The ordering and the delivery first class but the product a Black and Decker Shredder was not . The cut adjusting mechanism had not been assembled so when the packaging was removed the assembly fell out. It was a question do I send it back or do I find out how it should be assembled and fix it. Decided to fix it and it all works very well. This is the first time I have ordered something from this company and I was very disappointed- like all internet companies the customer works on trust that when you open the box everything is okay. Service and delivery was excellent

I tried to submit an online order and at almost the end of the process the application seized and I could not complete . I then tried again and this time it was successful and I placed the order. I received my order this morning and guess what! I received the same order twice plus the postage was charged twice I accept that I can send one of these orders back but the postage will need to be paid by myself , this seems to be rather unfair considering it was of no fault of mine

Couldn't be beaten on price particularly with Father's Day code discount. Only thing wasn't in stock, so had to wait a week. Did have to chase a few times, but did got prompt replies back. Overall I would use again

Generally a good service, with good products online to chose from, when I have needed to enquire about something I found friendly helpful staff. On one occasion I received an item that wasn't the complete set I'd payed for, so was grateful that this error was swiftly corrected & the part sent to me promptly after. One thing I'd like you to improve on is the distribution, the amount of time inbetween placing an order, & receiving the order. I have learnt the hard way if you need a tool for the job, don't expect it to turn up for at least a fortnight, I have ordered tools from overseas that arrive sooner! I have many tools that I'd like to buy each time I am payed & would be good to tick them off as I go, maybe a wish list next to the basket to save searching each time would be handy, All in all, I give you 7 out of 10

Hi Matthew, thank you for your review, we have investigated the timeline of your order as we do realise that our customers need their orders quickly. In this case the items were out of stock and had an advised 5-7 days despatch time. This is because the particular Britool items you ordered had to be shipped in from their central Warehouse in France. We list over 63,000 lines and although we do keep many lines in stock some of our manufacturers do have long lead times on any items that we out of stock of ,as was the case here.
