“AVOID Ordered a sample bag and being satisfied with the quality we pursue to order a bulk bag. Delivery time slot given, no delivery within specified time. After two calls to the company the bulk bag arrives in what I can only describe as a poor condition. This was no ‘element’ of dust as per the company website - these stones were coated! I rang them to complain and say that they weren’t at all like the sample we ordered and advised I was refusing the delivery. The lady I spoke to advised I could ‘hose them down’. I’d need a jet wash and even then I don’t think they’d be usable. The lady I spoke to threatened that I would be charged a delivery fee despite the goods not being up to standard. Complaint escalated and we were asked to send pictures over and someone would call me Monday AM - no call back. I had to chase it again myself. I spoke to a manager who advised me that it’s been investigated and there’s nothing wrong with the quality of the bag - despite her admitting that for her the bigger issue was that there was glass in the bag! She said she was still deducting a £60 charge for delivery! I am lost for words. I ask to speak to someone higher and I’m told there isn’t anyone which I find extremely difficult to believe. I don’t want anything from this company other than my own money returning as I have literally been penalised for this company delivering shabby goods! Appalling service from start to finish. Shame I can’t share the pictures I have from the delivery!!”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review Kim. We like to receive feedback whether it’s positive or negative, we’re so sorry you weren’t happy with your latest delivery. As per delivery notifications, all delivery timeslots are stated as estimates only. The depots do try to adhere to the dates and estimated timeslots, but any delays caused by traffic and in your case a breakdown is out of our control. We don’t unfortunately have any washing facilities on site and our products are naturally quarried materials which we sell as unwashed, this can result in dust being on the product. However, this is quickly dispersed once laid either by course of nature when it rains or alternatively rinsing your laid material. “The order process was really easy and delivery was on time and the delivery driver was excellent, my 20 mm granite chippings were not graded properly and had a great deal of smaller grade in the mix, I appreciate it’s a natural product but if graded correctly it would be more consistent in terms of size of chippings, the last consignment (which I was topping up ) was perfect in the first instance”

Apologies you received some smaller chippings that got through the 20mm grader wires, as everything is naturally quarried and then the bulk bags are robotically filled & weighed we can't guarantee every piece will be the same size. “I have ordered from this company multiple times now, the delivery driver remembers me now! The product is exactly how I expect every time and it is easy to order and it comes on the delivery date I choose. The delivery people have been lovely, friendly and helpful too”

“Excellent in every way. The ordering process was easy to follow. The stones were exactly as expected and have been used as a base for a Mediterranean-themed garden. I have gardened for over 40 years and have decided to streamline so I can enjoy the garden rather than the gardening. We have lots of large old pots and am using them to plant less time-consuming plants, 2 olive trees have just gone in. The white stones are lovely, we have used them elsewhere in the garden and quite close to a hot tub. Delivery was notified and adjusted to our needs. The delivery man was very helpful and able to put the stones on our drive.”

“This company was fantastic from start to finish the lady on the phone that helped me was Jacqui she was so helpful and friendly had to put order on hold for one week due to bad weather Jacqui was fantastic rebooked then we had three bags over wasn’t a problem company would come and collect excellent service thank you”

Cotswold Chippings are made out of limestone that does give them a natural cream colour and the name Cotswold is commonly used by aggregate suppliers. We appreciate your feedback. Jacqui
