“Good product but carrier turned up without correct equipment to deliver which meant a delay of three days for delivery.”

“The item arrived on time and as promised, the only negative, hence the four stars, the dispatch emails and updates are lacking. They send an invoice with an expected date and that's it until it arrives.”

When your order is dispatched the email you receive from us does have the haulier's contact details on there and a link to track the delivery. Glad you're happy with your order though.

“Everything arrived on time and text messages kept us informed. We ordered chippings for the garden which are just what was wanted. A few days later we ordered another bag. Unfortunately, when they arrived the stones were unwashed so a different colour although they were the same stone.”

“Generally good although the courier lost one of the bags of stone from my first delivery, which was later found and delivered the following day.”

“The goods, and delivery process is fine. Just that when the pallet was delivered it wasn’t lifted high enough, and left scraped drag marks on the driveway & path outside my house. These haven’t washed away with rain either.”

Sorry for the delay in but thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! Apologies for the issue with your driveway, as we're only insured for kerbside delivery leaving the bulk bags anywhere else are at drivers digression.

“Good price compared to many well known brands. Good choice of delivery options. Only disappointed for me was there was a fait amount of sand within the gravel I had ordered which spoilt the look of the stones. Also never got a 2 hour time slot on the day, so had no idea when the item was arriving that day.”

“The only thing stopping this being a five-star review was that my two packs got separated during the delivery process and the bag of bigger stones arrived two days after the smaller ones which meant that I couldn't really start building my pond until a couple of days after I expected to. The delay was dealt with well once I advised the company but IO could have done without it in the first place.”

“I have used The Stone and Garden Company several times for stone clippings and subbase material. The online process is quick and easy, the products are good, the price is fair. Unfortunately on this most recent order, the experience was let down by a grumpy delivery driver who decided to moan about, the delivery process, the pallet barrow, why didn't I order from somewhere that used HIAB cranes to unload, his route, his company sending to help a colleague who had broken down. Hence only giving four stars when in the past it's been five. A good service and product let down by the 'face" on delivery”

Hi David, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, it's lovely to hear from repeat customers. We outsource the deliveries to the Palletways Network so unfortunately we have no control over the depots/drivers so I will certainly be passing on your feedback to the delivery depot so they speak to the delivery driver on how his mood effected the experience of your order. A lot of aggregate supplier use a tail-lift / pump truck delivery method rather than hi-ab/crane which the driver would be well aware of, sorry you caught him on what was a bad day for him! Hope this doesn't stop you from ordering from us in the future!

“I ordered 10 bulk bags of 100-200mm cobbles. The first order of 7 bags were all clean and washed as described. The second order I placed of 3 bags were filthy dirty. I literally had to scrub them all to get them clean. They were caked in mud and the bottom of the bull bag was 3 inches deep in mud.”

All products are naturally quarried and we don't have any washing facilities on site so some bags can arrive with quarry product on them, I've passed on the feedback through to the Quality Control Department for you though.

“Bulk bag of state chippings. Good price but had to sort by hand as there so much dust and muck in the bag. Delivered a day early which could of been a problem.”

“Can't fault the ordering process, the website is very easy to use and the images give you a rough idea how the stones and how they'll look in a location. The measurements tool was a game changer for me, I totally underestimated how much I'd need but the calculatior on the site was spot on. The stones themselves are good quality and covered my crappy old drive perfect and look amazing. Only moan is that the stones could only be dropped on the kird and not on my drive, I ordered 6 tons, so it was a massive task shovelling them a meter or 2. Apart from that I'd definitely use this company again”

Hi Michael, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a great review, I'm glad you were happy with the Polar White you ordered (I can see you've also left a product review, the photos look great!). We always say it's best to use the measurement checker so that it can guide you on how many bags you'd need as a minimum (so you don't over-order and end up with lots of excess gravel!) I'm sorry the driver not being able to leave the bulk bags on your drive has impacted the overall score you've left for us, as we outsource the deliveries it's at the driver's discretion to leave the pallets anywhere other than kerbside due to H&S (as this is what we're insured for, not to come onto your property) I do understand it'd be frustrating to wheelbarrow/handball them from the kerbside.
