“I ordered the shorter pin header sockets and matching pin headers, not for a Pico but for my ESP32 project. All standard pin headers are about 8mm high, plus the pin header plastic shroud so it can raise the board off the PCB quite a bit. Too much, really. These smaller, lower pin headers from Adafruit are only 5mm high and significantly reduce the height of my processor above the PCB, whilst still allowing room for SMD components underneath. One downside, or caveat: the construction of the sockets seem to be of folded metal strrip, with the unfortunate side effect of having a capillary action on solder - it gets sucked up right into the socket if you are not careful, stopping the pin headers from seating (or even inserting) properly. My advice is to use only enough solder for the actual pin foot and PCB - then stop adding solder! I did take some photos to add to this review but there doesn't seem a way to add them, PiHut?”

“Pi Hut themselves are pretty good, but unfortunately continue to use Evri. So I'm writing this review on the 8th of April following the "how was your order" email on the 4th of April for the order I placed on the 29th of March but then dispatched with the most incompetent and useless carrier known to man. I forgot they use Evri, and this experience remdined me, so I probably wont use them again until they stop. Indeed this review asks "Who made the delivery?" and "Was the item damaged?" with an air of enthusiasm that suggests they expect it might have actually arrived by now. Inded, I even *PAID* for shipping. This sort of 'we can't be bothered, you might get it sometime' is almost acceptable with free delivery but when you pay for a service you expect it to actually happen. But, of course, that's when Evri aren't involved.”

“I always enjoy ordering from the Pi hut. My Raspberry Pi even came earlier than expected, I thought it would have been after easter, but they have send it through as a next day delivery! I was well chuffed about that, I was able to tinker with the Raspberry Pi in those days when my kid was outside looking for eggs and in the evening when it was bedtime. Finally able to have some free time! Thank you!”

“The PiHut is my "go-to shop" for all things Raspberry Pi related. Decided I needed a: 1Gbyte Pi5,(SKU: SC2162) PI5 Connector Adaptor, (SKU: WAV-27009) PCIe to M.2 Board (SKU: WAV-26785) All arrived very quickly and well packaged. It's great that when selecting the delivery courier I could choose the Royal Mail who always ensure the recipient received the parcel instead of Evri who are very guilty of abandoning parcels on doorsteps even though they are meant to get signatures (they dont). It would be excellent if the PiHut could start to stock a thin metal "connector shield" for use with the "PI5 Connector Adaptor" when connected to a "Raspberry Pi 5". This would give a more professional back of computer look if the USB C, 2 x Full HDI, Ethernet & the four USB were enshrined in their own plate (without users having to buy and learn to use 3D printers)”
