“We did quite a bit researching beds before buying and settled on the OBC as a specialist. When a bed was chosen, we were quite unprepared for the overpowering stench of the wool component and it was only upon complaining, that we were informed that this would be the case. How could we have known? To the two locations we'd phoned, no-one answered so we emailed with a follow up of the same a week later. Phoned again and a no-quibble replacement was made which arrived the next week. The wool smell was much reduced and the operative had said in advance that he would handpick the wool filling to ensure this. There seemed to be conflicting advice concerning the periodicity of turning and rotating the mattress, and in the end it was admitted that the precise manner of going it was not so critical.”

“The Original Bed Company were excellent from start to finish. After a telephone call, they confirmed they were able to supply the bed frame I urgently needed with a quicker delivery than stated on the website. I chose the Tulsk for its simple elegance, which I love, love, love! Also it is strong and sturdy. In the future, I will only ever have to buy a new mattress, so economically it makes sense too! It didn't take long at all for my handyman to put together. It is set up on the higher of the two possible levels (great to have that option!) but I may have it lowered as I am not particularly tall and find I have to lift my bottom up on to it rather than slip myself into bed. Either way, it is so easy to vacuum under it. I would 100% recommend to anyone thinking of buying a new bed. Do away with those dated divan sets!”

Also, The Original Bed Co team was great, super nice and helpful, they took care of all the delivery process and details (customs etc), making the whole experience stress-free and pleasant. “I ordered 2 beds, Hamilton low foot end iron bedstead in king size and traditional iron bedstead double. Absolutely lovely the beds, solid and excellent quality. Great value for money compared to other similar looking beds that were very flimsy. Would highly recommend.”

“Hamilton is a stunning bedstead. The picture does not capture its beauty. I was somewhat worried that the black satin with brass would be a little tacky. Far from. It has the wow factor and has been voted the best bedstead in our house. We have 3 different metal beds. One in rose gold and other in brass. The Hamilton is by far, the most beautiful one. A quality bedstead. Sturdy and well made. Delivery was quick. Highly recommended.”

“I was hesitant to order since I was in the US, but everything went according to plan! Shipping was excellent and I had no scratches or marks on my bed. I put it together myself, but I think a 2nd person is needed. I am very pleased overall. The bed is super study, no squeaking and looks beautiful! It is definitely a statement piece.”

“We are delighted with our new bed and mattress. Everytghing arrived on time and the deiivery agents assisted us in getting the boxes up to our room. “We were very pleased with the service, our bed took a long time to come but we'd ordered a designer colour so we knew that it was going to take longer when we ordered it .We chose "The Selkirk" in our own colour with the brass knobs & are very pleased with the finished product. The quality of the frame is first class & it was very easy to put together. It feels very strong & well made & looks amazing , overall a good experience & we're very pleased with it . I would recommend this company without a doubt.”
