“I have made two purchases from the luxury wood company and the service has been very good. For me, the measure of a company is not how often they get it right but what they do what they get it wrong. The problem with the delivery was not of their making but they sorted it out will use again and recommend them.”

“Quick delivery, looks like good quality dry kiln wood, although not yet used as weather sunny and warm. Only issue is delivered by 3rd party courier who said he didn't work for the Luxury Wood Company and was just delivering the wood and wanted to drop the crate of wood in the middle of the drive which is shared by 3 other houses, thus blocking access for everyone, because he said that he could not reverse the vehicle as the drive was too narrow, even though it is over 30ft wide and larger vehicles including oil deliveries, Jewsons and Ridgeons have had no problem. After an argument he agreed and easily managed to reverse up to my property and off load the crate. Although at one point I thought the 6ft crate was going to fall off the lorry tailgate as he tried to move it with the pallet truck and the weight of the crate on the tailgate looked very suspect.”

“I must comment on your ‘Giant Crate’ of kiln dried oak. The quality is superb. The logs are really dry. They are ideal for my woodburner as they allow me to control finely the rate at which they burn and the heat given out. The kindling you supplied with the logs is also of excellent quality. A very pleased customer!”

“We have been buying kiln dried ash logs from the Luxury Wood Company since we had two wood burning stoves installed in 2016. When the last crate arrived at our house the week before last, the lorry driver was unable to offload the crate outside our house, on the kerbside - the kerbside is on a slight gradient and he wasn’t able to pull the pump truck with the crate on top onto the tail gate of the lorry. He asked me to help him push but I declined, because of the need to maintain social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic. He therefore returned to his depot with the crate of ,logs still on the lorry. The following day I emailed Vesi at the Luxury Wood Company but she was unable to help - she was unable to use a different delivery lorry so there was no solution. I had a number of exchanges of emails with Vesi and she was always courteous and replied very promptly every time. We have subsequently had a delivery of logs from White Horse Energy, the lorry driver had an electrically assisted pump truck and was able to off load the crate of logs at our kerbside very swiftly and easily. I would urge the Luxury Wood Company to use a different delivery company, one that has electrically powered pump trucks. In the past we have always had excellent wood from the Luxury Wood Company and I’m very sorry that we had a poor experience this time. Roger Cottrell, Kenninghall, Norfolk NR16 2EN”

“Excellent customer service, helpful and friendly. Speedy delivery and helpful delivery driver too. The green oak sleepers are lovely, great quality and we have used them for raised vegetable planters. We were pleased to find the different lengths available which suited our urban garden space perfectly. Highly recommended!”

“Bought from you's on a few occasions this particular time not that happy to be fair. Pallet not stacked as tight as previous times, then to top it off ask for a review three weeks after I buy a large pallet of oak for £259 then discover as I write this review the price as been reduced to £229. £30 less for the same product.. On this occasion only a three. Previous five.”

“The order was delivered in good time and the delivery man was exceptionally helpful, getting the pallet into a suitable spot despite the collapsed pallet! I had ordered three bags of oak logs at an extra cost. they were delivered, not separately as expected, but had been placed in the pallet, thereby denying me the equivalent quantity of birch logs! That was a bit of a cheek! Despite that, the logs burn well and leave little or no ash, so I am happy with the order except for being slightly cheated!”

“The quality of the wood is excellent. My only criticism is the delivery company used in my area never inform me what day they are delivering. The last 2 deliveries I’ve had arrived with no notification. Fortunately I was at home when it arrived otherwise I don’t know whether they would just have left the pallet on my driveway which would have been awful.”
