“Incubator arrived quickly, was as expected and is now humming away in my kitchen with 6 bantam eggs inside. First time hatching my own chicks so I am hoping this incubator will do the work for me, with auto turning and countdown. I am worried about humidity, as the lady I bought eggs from told me her first attempt was a disaster, as she had the humidity too high and the newly hatched chicks basically did not dry out and died. She advised me not to add too much water, but how much is too much? I’ll do some more research and hopefully know what to do before lock down. Otherwise, it was easy to set up and seems like a good starter model. Fingers crossed. X”

Thank you for your review Jill. You're exactly right that humidity can be a very tricky subject. We're actually planning to release some updated information about how to correctly monitor and adjust humidity. As a general rule of thumb the advice is; don't try too hard, and that less is usually better than more when it comes to adding water. “Lovely unit but description was a bit misleading as I thought it controlled humidity as well as temperature. Purchased as a queen bee incubator the shelves are not practical for queen cells. Needs a bit more research.”

“Fantastic company to deal with. Bronti was more than helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. New parts arrived next day. Instructions on how to fit emailed and written for idiots so suited me down to the ground. Much appreciated for all your help.”
