Hi John, Thanks for the review — glad to hear you’re happy with the shoes. These are made with ECCO’s MTN GRIP sole, which has three different sections to give traction, stability, and rotational support. We also show an image of the sole on the product page to help customers see the design. These shoes don’t take spikes. They’re built with a moulded, spikeless sole, so there’s nowhere to add spikes afterwards. If you’d prefer a spiked model instead, we’re happy to help you find the right pair.
