Hi, thank you so much for the 5-star review! Just to give you a bit of extra feedback on your comments. UPS, like any couriers we've used, do sometimes sub-contract third party couriers or drivers to share the load during peak times. These normally being Black Friday, the run up to Christmas, and the summer holidays (when lots of the regular drivers take time off). This in itself is not unusual or unexpected. That being said, we do have strict instructions on our account that all parcels be delivered with a confirmed signature, to keep packages safe, and it is a concern that this instruction was ignored. We have fed back your comments to our UPS account manager so that it can be investigated with the relevant depot and/or driver. The good news is, it looks like on this occasion you did get the item on a next working day service as expected, but not in the perfect circumstances. “Products and pricing is competitive. Service was good, product arrived well packaged and as expected when unboxed. My only gripe is the service from UPS, it was ordered with next day delivery on Thursday late morning but was not collected until late Friday by UPS, they kept the package in Tamworth over the weekend and delivered it Monday lunchtime. Had I needed the item at the weekend it would have been a let down. Despite this TFC get 5 stars.”

Hi Carl, Thank you so much for the 5-star review! I'm very sorry to hear you had some issues with the UPS delivery though. I've done some digging, and there's a mysterious 48 hour window between the package leaving the main Tamworth depot and arriving in you local depot. That process normally only takes half a day or so, so it's very unusual! We'll feed it back to UPS, see what caused the issue, and ask if there's anything we can do to help them make sure that doesn't happen again. We look forward to serving you again soon! Mike

“Great service as usual. One thing that didnt go down well was that the delivery driver just dumped the paper rolls in our clients office. They werent notified that they had arrived which would have been helpful but other than that brilliant!”

Hi Daniel, thank you so much for leaving us a positive review, it's great to hear you had a (mostly) flawless experience. Just a bit of extra info for you on the delivery of the 2.72m Colorama's. Unfortunately, because of their size, almost no couriers in the UK will take them anymore. Over the years we have used couriers like TNT, UPS etc for these, but as of a couple of years ago, all the mainstream couriers classify anything over 2m as "oversized" and either refuse outright to take them, or add a £50+ fee for shipping each item (which as i'm sure you can understand, is impossible on a £70 item!). Our solution was to find another courier, DX, that charge a fair price and thankfully are really reliable in getting deliveries to customers quickly. The downside, their notification system isn't as sophisticated as the mainstream couriers, so notifications can be a bit hit and miss. That being said, we think that overall this is the best solution for our customers weighing up price and speed of delivery as well. We always have an ear to the ground for better solutions with Colorama though, so should another option pop up in future we're open to trying it out, with the aim of getting the service as close to perfect as possible. “It's always worrying when you order a small part for use in other equipment, specifically in this case a battery for a 14 year old DSLR Camera. There's always the risk that you end up ordering the incorrect item or not receiving the branded item that you ordered and wanted. I need't have concerned myself, the correct branded item was delivered promptly and I was kept informed of progress with the oncoming delivery -thanks”

“Ordering was very easy on line with TFC, if only they would use a better delivery company other than UPS the transaction would have been perfect, UPS did not deliver on the day promised I lost a days work due to this and had problems on several occasions with them so basically in future I won’t order in the future with companies who use UPS for deliveries, other than that I’d use TFC all day long.”

Hi Jackie, thank you so much for your 5-star review, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. We're very sorry to hear you had some issues with your UPS delivery. I've had a little look into the tracking history and I can see we packed your item for shipping at 8.44am on the 17th, and that the parcel was delivered 12.09pm on the 19th. Whilst most of our deliveries do arrive next working day, it's not always the case unfortunately and the odd two day delivery is within the realms of "normal" for all couriers. We've tried a variety of couriers over the years including DPD, Parcelforce, TNT, DHL and others, and it's always the same, most arrive next day, but some take a little longer. It could unfortunately be that your local UPS depot or driver is not as efficient as others. A couple of things I would recommend if you know you have an urgent shoot. 1) If at all possible, if you can order before about 2pm, we can get your parcel sent same day, as opposed to the next morning. Unfortunately your order came in to late for this, so a few hours earlier and likely your parcel arrives a whole day earlier. 2) If at all possible, give yourself an extra day or two buffer for the delivery if you know you have a job lined up (I appreciate that might not always be possible!). 3) If you give us a call on 02078375649 when you place your order to let us know that it's especially urgent, we can look into the possible options for you to increase the likelihood of it arriving to your schedule. Special same day, AM, and weekend services are all things we can discuss to help you out! Thanks again, and have a great day! TFC

All our stock is carefully checked before dispatch and fully insured during transit, so if something goes wrong, we’re always happy to put it right. I will admit it is a little disappointing to only learn about the issue through this review, more than a week after the order was delivered.
