You didn't make anyone happy! Between food poisoning, pseudo tempura battered prawns, bad smoked salmon, and wrong cuts of salmon steaks, this order was horrible. To top it all up, no one cared AT ALL, about the fact that the courier simply left the food and did not even ring to notify it was delivered. I called your customer service department and also contacted you by email to explain how bad the courier and the delivery experience was, but no one really cared. This experience is more than enough, to convince me that I should look elsewhere for my seafood orders.

Unfortunately my delivery was delayed by the courier for 24 hours which meant my fish had been travelling for 48+ hours on the hottest days of the year. Suffice to say, once delivery was made, I could smell it before I saw the box! Dealing with the Fish Society regarding this incident has been completely unacceptable - whilst I appreciate the delay was by the courier, I paid quite a lot of money for fish that went straight into my bin. No communication has been received from them since I told them the fish was delivered, warm and rancid. Shame, because I've had several deliveries from The Fish Society in the past that have all been excellent.

Beware! Their system caught me out, leaving me with twice the fish I wanted - they couldn't give a dam! I thought that I had placed an order on the 06th using the introductory offer TFSNC15, for 15% off my first order. The order was for 5KG of Wild Sockeye Salmon Fillets and 5KG of Cape Hake Loin Steaks. But the following day, 07th, I got an email saying, "We saved all of the great seafood you've added to your cart so when you're ready to buy, simply complete your purchase". Later that day, I got another email saying, "Time Is Running Out ⏰Your Unique Offer Expires SOON". As I had not received an order confirmation email, I assumed that I had done something wrong when ordering. I logged in again using the email link provided, applied the TFSNC15 15% discount code again and placed the order. This time, I got an order confirmation email saying, "Thank you for your purchase" with order number 762281. I got a message from the courier saying the order would be delivered on 08/08/24, and it was. Then I got another message from the courier saying the order would be delivered on, 09th. Sure enough, another delivery arrived. Being a Friday, I emailed the Fish Society straight away explaining the double delivery and asked what to do with the fish. They said: "Looking into this matter, you placed 1 order on the August 6, 2024 at 5:43 pm and another order August 7, 2024 at 5:35 pm". I explained that the order on the 6th didn't go through and that I got an email from them saying my cart was still outstanding and I was about to lose the discount. So I placed it on the 7th. I emailed again today asking if they had a response, but they blew me off, saying, "We believe we have responded fully". All very fishy, but I won't be using them again!

We have previously ordered from the Fish Society but on this occasion it would be a 'zero star' review if possibly. The shellfish was with the courier for well in excess of 30 hours based on their tracker and in hot conditions. Tried to cancel order due to lateness prior to delivery but FS did not agree. Eventually delivered and sent back to FS via courier (ie rejected). Contacted FS but would not provide fresh delivery or refund the value of the order. Complained to customer services 12 days ago and no response. Not great customer service.

Good afternoon Manuel As we explained in our previous email correspondence, we asked you to accept the delivery and take a look at the contents as per our Ts & Cs. There was every chance the fish would have been perfectly OK especially as your order was delivered on your chosen delivery date albeit later in the day. You refused the delivery without opening the box. Had the contents not been cold to the touch we would have been more than happy to refund or send a replacement. We're sorry that on this occasion, things didn't work out. Kind regards

I am 70 and have severe back problems, I live in a flat in a retirement block, with an entry phone. Your driver, instead of pressing the entry button, waiting for the door to be opened, and then bringing the goods up to the flat (like all other delivery drivers do) he just threw the fish on the pavement, and left. I found out much later when I noticed the email (incidentally it makes such a difference seeing a picture, and being told the name, of the disgusting driver who threw the fish on the pavement). It would have taken the driver a couple of minutes to bring the fish up to the flat. I have to walk with a zimmer frame and it took me about 20 minutes of huge pain to drag the heavy box to within 20 feet from my front door, at which point I could go no further and sank to the floor and had to wait for someone to happen along. What do you think I think of your company?

Good afternoon Peter Your review makes for a sorry read and regrettably we have no way of ensuring the couriers bring your deliveries to your flat door. We have added an extra line to your address saying please deliver to flat door so if you decide to place another order we hope that the driver on the day will follow these instructions. The only reason I have given one Star is that they arrived in a timely manner. The product was not as described, on cooking the shells cracked, the mussels were grey and soup disgusting. I hasten to add I do know how to cook fresh mussels. I threw everything away.

I was expecting the parcel but nobody rang the door bell, BY the time I got to it,the fish had to be thrown away. I find the delivery poor

Good morning We can see that your order was delivered at 13.03 on the correct delivery day. When did you discover it and was it not cold to the touch? You should have received a one hour delivery time slot from the courier and we ask our customers to let us know if they haven't received their parcel within the time frame so we can check on the delivery status. Unfortunately we cannot make the couriers ring the bell/knock on the door no matter how often we ask them! We're sorry that, on this occasion, things didn't work out. Kind regards The Fish Society

Due to miscommunication and ill will to help my lobster tails came five days late fully defrosted and smelly.

I lost the use of both legs last September so I asked the delivery driver if he wouldn’t mind putting the items in my freezer in my garage. He said okay but when my wife got in from work, she checked in the garage and he had left them on top, of the freezer. Many of the items had defrosted. Although I don’t blame you for this. It has put me off ordering from you again. Regards howard McArdle.

Purchased 2 blocks of salmon saku blocks and 1 pack of salmon belly strip. Salmon belly strips were OK. However, the salmon saku blocks were horrible.. Horrible.. Horrible. It was dyed so much that it looked red.. Even the liquid inside the packet was the same colour. Tastewise, it was completely bland.. No creamines and freshness as you would expect from fresh salmon. Honestly, it is farcical that they sell this as Salmon. My family had a few bites...but the rest went into the bin. Compare the salmon belly to the saku block in the photo!

Good Afternoon Peter, Thank you for your review and feedback. Looking into this, the two pieces will be different as they are two different species of Salmon. The Salmon Belly strips are organic (farmed) species Salmo salar. This is cut from the belly and will be naturally fattier and creamier. The saku block is Coho of the Oncorhynchus kisutch species and is naturally more red than other species and the saku block is cut from the back of the salmon which means it is a leaner meat. The Coho Salmon is also the less "fishy/salmon" tasting of the salmon species. None of our products would have dye added. All our farmed products need to go through rigorous testing and the farm needs to be accredited by Global G.A.P., Label Rouge, and The Soil Association.
