“Very poor customer service. I never received my order. I contacted customer support and was told “maybe the courier forgot it in the fridge” and that a replacement would be sent the next day. I waited another week — nothing arrived. I contacted them again and this time they said “maybe the address didn’t fit.” No one took real responsibility, no one cared about the customer. In the end I had to request a refund without ever receiving the order, so I don’t even know what their fish is like. The only thing that works perfectly is their marketing — my inbox is flooded with their promotional emails. I will not use this company again”

“Ordered quite a few things... the teriyaki coley was absolutely delicious and very good value, the monkfish steak was also tasty and meaty, I made some delicious tandoori monkfish with it. The black miso cod was tasty and chunky, but not as good value for money as the other 2, but was quality. The order came on the day I picked, which suited me and was extremely well packaged, I immediately transferred everything into the freezer so I could eat it whenever I wanted which was a huge plus. My only gripe was the portion of cooked lobster meat. I paid quite a bit for a small portion, it didn't have the sweet lobster flavour that I'm used to, it was bland, and half of it was so chewy that it was absolutely inedible. Maybe I just got a bad batch, but it won't put me off ordering other things again from the fish society, especially the teriyaki coley!”

“3 times i was let down by the fact the items were not deliverd on day promised !! I am waiting for my bank statement , to see if so money has been refunded on my last delivery ? that was not fully completed ?!”

“I had 2 orders over Christmas. The first The Fish Society went above and beyond when I had a dates issue. The produce received was fantastic. The second however, simply didn’t arrive and The Fish Society were incredibly unresponsive until an eventual refund. I would definitely suggest having a real customer service team, and enough people to handle those requirements would be advised. There is an AI agent who replies saying almost nothing and provides no help and quite honestly heightens frustration.”

“Great choice easy to shop and checkout. Lots of email updates re order and delivery . Goods were still frozen on delivery. Used the cod and made my own Fishfingers . Delicious. Smoked salmon pate perfect size for two . Highly recommended”

“The fish arrived a day late. I hope that didn't mean it was in transport overnight. I ordered the biggest lobsters thar were quite small still. Overall the quality is OK. Nice to have big portion sizes directly delivered to my door, but it's noting special and probably a bit pricey for what it is.”
