The price was the only good thing about this company, I needed to prove I had 1 years no claims bonus which I did within the hour but one week later I had an email yo say it had'nt been received? I rang only to be told that the n.c.b document they had did not have the number 1 written on it, only showing a year between dates, therefore not excepting it! Wot... Pathetic. Also what the hell is the £1 per minute phone number all about? They want your business, therefore the number should be 0800 a free call. Not impressed... God help us if I ever need to make a claim...

As a veteran motorcyclist of some 25 years or so I have never had so much trouble insuring a bike. It has taken a number of emails and phone calls just to make the insurers aware of my needs. The company you have put me with will not be recommended by myself or colleagues of my motorcycling fraternity. In this age of technology I cannot believe that insurance companies do not talk to each other - in fact I'm sure that all information is on one big database - so why the hassle!! If I'd known it was so much hassle I would have stayed put with my previous insurer.

I am very happy with the price, it beat all the larger rivals. But I have to say I was very unhappy with your response from my emails regarding my licence details. When I took out the insurance My licence was at Swansea for change of address, I was told to send it as soon as I got it back. I sent it electronically to Kris Neal and asked for conformation and got nothing back. I did this a few times and still nothing. It was very frustrating as I repeatedly got no response. Eventually a sent my licence copy by post as no one had explained how to it should be sent, it was only then that I received an email telling me that all was now ok. If you are a new company then these issues need sorting ASAP to minimise the risk of losing custom.

The very curt way you contacted me threatening to cancel the policy for not sending proof of NCB which I already had done....and when I rang your office you admitted that you had received it. Then sending me an URGENT text for me to contact you......when I did being on hold for 25 mins before I could get through.....to be told that my registration number wasn't recognised although I had bought the cherished number direct from DVLA and had retaxed the bike on-line four times !!!!! After closing the call I went on DVLA website and it recognised my reg straight away!!!!!! The fact that I was not provided with the access number for the breakdown service.......which I needed when I had a puncture two weeks ago! Not really impressed with the service from your company thus far.........back to e-bike next year, a bit more money but a lot less hassle , Barrie Green

The only bike insurer that I have ever come across that required me to send in a copy of my license, proof of no claims etc. This firm needs to wire its self into the insurance business a little better (electronic data communications) to avoid such unnecessary movement of data by snail mail! Forms were send dated the day I took out a policy, some 18 days before it started asking me to confirm the mileages of my machines on the day the policy came into force - nonsensical to say the least, and poor system design at best! Documents turned up haphazardly in the mail, instead of being bundled in one envelope. I will be reviewing my policy and premium when it needs renewing again next year, whether or not I use this firm depends very much if I can get a better deal elsewhere!

Had quick quotes. Chose the cheapest one with the cover I needed. Had no confirmation once I had sent the required documents by Email. Had to phone to confirm they were recieved over a week later. This is more a problem with the individual insurance company rather than The Bike Insurer though.

The procedure to get insurance on-line was easy, although having sent in proof of ''no claims'' and requesting this to be returned, NOTHING HAS BEEN RETURNED!

Easy to complete. Only problem was alarm and immobiliser was not on list so was not able to enter.

I paid for my bike insurance TPFF and after realised that if i were to make a claim the excess was so high that i wouldn't have received any money anyway. Called you and tried to sort it out to third party only got my proposal after lengthy phone call still showed tpff and when i called they said to adjust on the form and return but no cheaper price for third party Seems unfair
