“I bought bike insurance from this company. They asked me how many years no claims bonus I had and I told them accordingly. A few weeks later they phoned me up and asked how many bike no claims bonus I had and I had none so they said I had to pay additional £200. I told them to stuff it and I would go elsewhere. They charged me o er £100 for the 4 weeks that they say I was covered but in reality they would never have covered me because they said my insurance was invalidated so I paid over £100 for what? Complaint in with the ombudsman. Avoid this rip off company.”

The insurance you selected would have been arranged directly with the insurer or broker, and they are responsible for validating details such as no claims bonus and applying any changes to the premium. Adjustments like this typically happen if the information used to generate the quote doesn’t match what the provider requires when setting up the policy, for example distinguishing between car and motorcycle no claims bonus. Any charges, cancellation terms, or decisions about whether cover is valid are also set by the provider, not by us. We appreciate that the process can feel like one continuous journey, but issues like this sit with the company you purchased the policy from rather than The Bike Insurer. “Comparison is great until you get to the part where you sign up then it goes wrong as you’re asked to phone for a better quote which actually becomes worse ! To be fair to Bikesure they did give me a small refund so happy with them and their staff are very nice.😊”

“Well normally I would say they are good as if you go through topcashback it makes the price very good. On this occasion they haven't given me my cashback so I'm not happy”

The tracking process isn’t always perfect so in the first instance, we’d recommend submitting a missing cashback claim through your TopCashback account like they recommend, as they’ll be able to investigate this for you. What we need is the unique quote reference that we provided to you by email when you got the quote from us. This must be the quote you purchased your insurance through in one continuous online transaction, or else we will not be able to match it to a verified sale. These are sent directly by the insurer or broker you purchased your policy from, either by email or post depending on their process and your chosen preferences.
