Really disappointed with service from Temptation gifts. I made a substantial order on the 5th of December; christmas presents for my baby son and wife. I paid 10 pound postage/delivery and I have still not received my order, 17 days later. I have contacted and was advised there was no tracking on my order but it left their warehouse. Really disappointed and now with all the disruption I am unlikely to have Christmas presents for my son's first Christmas. Emailed customer service again this morning but did not receive a reply.

Hello John, Thank you for your email, I am very sorry to hear that you have not yet received your order. I can see that you placed the order on 5th December and it was dispatched on 9th. Standard orders are sent using Royal Mail's International Standard Service in association with their international partners. This is a very reliable service and you should receive your order within 10- 14 working days of dispatch. We are unfortunately unable to provide individual tracking numbers for parcels sent with his service. On rare occasions it may unfortunately take slightly longer for a parcel to be delivered due to the current pandemic causing possible restrictions on flights and internal processing . We still expect the vast majority of parcels to most destinations to be delivered in normal time frames but for some, delivery may take longer than listed. Please rest assured that your parcel is still very likely on its way to you as 10 days is not an unusual amount of time to wait, if you have not received your order by the end of the day on 30th it may be advisable to check at your local post office in case the parcel has been left there, if you were out when they attempted delivery. If you are unable to locate the parcel after checking with them and waiting until then please get back in touch and we will look at the next steps. All items in process of being returned. There was a long delay in receiving these. When I called to find out where they were they were in a Royal Mail sorting office stuck due to Covid-19 apparently. I asked if a replacement could be sent by alternative means and would pay but told not possible. The only option I was offered was a returns label by email. I can't get a refund until the return is received and processed so goodness knows when I will eventually get back the money I handed over to the company mid November! Will not use again.

Hello Lucy, Thank you for your review. Once again, we are very sorry that your order arrived late. We did dispatch this order less than 48 hours after you placed the order; unfortunately, once an order leaves our warehouse, it is in the hands of Royal Mail and we are unable to expediate delivery if it is delayed. Royal Mail are sadly experiencing an increased frequency of delayed deliveries due to a lack of staff and an increased volume of parcels this year. As I mentioned in our previous correspondence, in the event that you return the parcel and do not hear from us within 5 working days, do get in touch with us. We will check the tracking for the returns label and if it seems like the parcel is lost, we will still issue a refund. Apologies once again for the delays you experienced. Not even one star worthy. Ordered a Yankee Scenterpiece from this company, which came fairly promptly. However, was extremely disappointed when i opened the parcel to find the scenterpiece to be faulty, looking water damaged and not like pictured on the webpage. When contacting customer service i was made to feel small and tried to be deceived and when asked for proof that this was how the item should've looked was told this was impossible. Then to be told I would have to pay to return this item which wasn’t faulty on my behalf came as a shock. Extremely disappointed in this full process and will not be shopping here again.

Today marks 3 weeks exactly since I made my order from the site and my goods have not been delivered. I am rather upset at myself because I didn't realize that the parcel will be shipped without tracking until after I got the shipping notification from the company. I had just assumed that since the order was over 50£ it must surely come tracked. Alas, nope. I get at least a couple of packages from the UK every week (eBay, The Hut group, Space NK, etc) so I am very familiar with the various shipping options and delivery times and know full well that if Royal mail's airmail doesn't arrive in 10 days, it doesn't arrive at all. I have just checked the reviews here and found quite a bit of other EU customers complaining of similar issues as myself and saw that the company responded to their reviews by telling them to wait for an absurd amount longer (I repeat, my UK packages usually get here the same week, regardless of COVID, so asking us to wait for a month or longer is honestly just offensive) or to check their local post offices as if parcels would somehow just end up abandoned there without the recipients being notified of it? All this makes me feel very discouraged about getting my money back and I wish I was better informed before making my order. Edited to add that I have been in contact with the company and assured they'll be dealing with the situation so I changed the rating to a 3. Edited again to change my rating back to 1 since the company wants me to wait for another 20 days due to the fact that "my parcel might be stuck at customs" which is beyond absurd since we're both (presently at least, who knows what joys Brexit 2021 might bring) in the EU so naturally, there are no customs and haven't been for the last dozen years or so.

The delivery box with a China dish inside was falling apart on delivery. Inside the wrapping of bubble wrap was badly taped and loose. How the dish remained unbroken was a miracle.

All Yankee Candle melts received had damaged film wrappings, a large area of damage on 1 side (see photograph) and a smaller area on the opposite side. I emailed customer service at temptation gifts, with the photograph included here, pointing out that they should inform people of this damage before purchase. I also clearly stated I was not seeking anything from them. The reply included the statement “They have openings in the film so that the scent can be sampled before purchase”. I have been purchasing YK melts for years and have never ever received ones with large holes in the film surrounding them. I felt insulted that the customer service representative could think me so stupid that I would accept such a statement, In light of their attitude towards customers I would suggest people stay far away from this company.

Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you are unhappy with the Wax Melts tarts that you received. We keep stock of several thousand Yankee Candle wax melt tarts in our warehouse, of various fragrances, and they are all sent to us from Yankee with this plastic wrap on each one. They have openings in the film so that the scent can be sampled before purchase. This does not affect the power of the scent or condition of the wax as they are capable of holding this for a considerable amount of time. I can confirm that this was dispatched from our warehouse on the 13th October 2020, this was sent using our standard Royal Mail delivery service, parcels sent using this service are expected to arrive within 2 to 5 working days. We can see from the tracking information that your parcel with the unique ID: 3704313710010AF1995BE shows as being delivered on the 17th October 2020 ,please see the link below. In our experience the postman does not always leave a card if the parcel has been left with a neighbour or is a safe place.
