“Great service and response to queries before registration (especially Richard Cullen). Some of the early questions / examples are contradictory (eg gives Christmas as an example of a proper noun then marked me as incorrect for saying it was a proper noun). This was not reassuring but mistakes happen right!? Some of the exercies could give explanations / answers as to why you are wrong and what the correct answer is. Bizzare and again sure it is a glitch but received a request for feedback email congratulating me on completing the course.....I have just registered and started. Still a mountain to climb. I am enjoying the learning : much of which is new. My two daughters will be registering soon. Most impressive feedback to the questions prior to registering frankly which made me come to TEFL.org (others offer the same qualification for less money). Happy with my progress so far but minor observations could make the learning experience better.”

“I really enjoyed my web based course with The TEFL Org. I think the material was well organized and I feel the course was very beneficial and sufficiently challenging. I enjoyed interacting with the tutors, and they challenged me to learn and improve as the course developed! A very nice way of improving English teaching skills!”

“You initially gave me an impression that if I do not complete a TEFL course before the due date, all progress will be lost. I therefore kept extending the course and paying lots of extra money. Eventually, due to circumstances, I had to leave my course temporarily. I later found out that my course progress remained and I had been misled by your website.”

Please be assured that we always advise students that they can buy an extension any time they wish, and don’t need to activate it until they are completely ready to restart their online work. We also advise that you do not need to purchase an extension to keep your course open. All of your work will be saved. “Sometimes the quiz doesn't quite seem to follow from the module. I am struggling with the reported speech as there are a few possible answers and I can't seem to grasp exactly which version you want.”

“Hi there, I have recently joined so I can’t really say much. However the content on the courses are in depth and the video helps put the content into play which is useful. Only a few courses in at the moment but am enjoying it. The quizzes require a 100% in order to pass which is a bit stressful but given the chance of re attempting them 3 times is assuring. My tutor at the moment has given feedback within 2 days which is great as it allows me to understand how I did and how I could have improved, with the content still fresh in my mind which is useful if I had to re do an assignment.”

“I have enjoyed taking the course with TEFL Org. I found it challenging at times to write the assignments but once a mission was accomplished it felt very satisfying. My tutor communicated swiftly when needed and taking this course has helped me realise which teaching method would suit me. “I found the course to be worthwhile and challenging. I learned a great deal as well. I did have to use many outside sources of information to complete some of the assignments. I thought that information should’ve been more readily available within the course itself. Great tutor support. Would recommend to others for certain.”

“Generally very good. Some minor technical matters (which I have seen are noted in the blog but don't seem to be fixed). I would have really liked a video of a large class teaching session. The videos of the younger learners lessons I did not think were good. They were bored (Ok it was probably a very artificial lesson), but the entire lesson felt like how not to do it - the same activity went on and on. Felt sorry for them. Also, all the videos were generally with those with already reasonable English. Other than the video showing how to teach total beginners Spanish (which was great fun) I would have liked something on teaching those with much less English. Bit of gap here I think. Also, the section on the 'schwa' sound totally threw me. I had no idea what it was. Should have been classic for a video or at least something to sound out what it actually is - but nothing. All we got was some written words, and I could not identify what was the common sound in them. So I have no idea what this was about at all - or its relevance. Was not happy with that. On the assignments, the longer ones had word limits of 600, which did not really allow for what was being asked for. I spent longer trying to reduce the word count than doing the assignment. On one assignment, in the large classes one I think (quiz form) I did not agree at all with the answers, and wondered if there was an error. I just selected the ones that were wanted in the end, but I really did feel they were wrong. On the grammar, have to say that the names for tenses are much more complicated than when I originally learnt tenses. To me it seems that they confuse and have overcomplicated names - I got confused myself. I don't know if this is standard, or if it is your own approach. Happy to provide more feedback then here if helpful as to me it makes things very difficult for the students. But overall a good course, and I liked the mixed delivery approach. Thank you”
