“All in all it was a good course,however I found the Grammer unit far too long wth too many tests.the other units were fine.”

“The 120 hr TEFL course has been an excellent experience for me. All the different sections within the course had very informative and practical content. I loved the classroom sessions - they were impeccable as teaching resources for new teachers like me. The feedback and advice from the tutor was very prompt, to the point and extremely informative with great suggestions. The course content is very well designed, is super easy to follow and very clearly and well presented and delivered. The software application for the lessons also is very accurate with tracking the progress and assignments. I especially loved the Methodology section which delves into great depths of teaching methodologies. The assignments had a good difficulty level testing many aspects at the same time. They were challenging as well as fulfilling, giving me a good feel of actual lesson planning practice. Overall, I loved the course and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to be a certified TEFL/TESOL teacher.”

“I’m not a native speaker but I was taught as a child , so I never really took English lessons . It’s interesting to learn so much about the rules and now I get to play the annoying English professor in my group of friends who is always correcting them”

“The course I took was wholly online and self-paced. On one hand this makes learning the methods of TEFL extremely convenient, although without genuine experience of teaching it does feel fundamentally limited in it's usefulness. Furthermore the course is not so much designed to teach as it is designed to present information - actual learning will have to be self-studied. Whilst the information is clearly explained - I never had trouble understanding the content - the course effectively boils down to a set of Youtube tutorials, quizzes (which are difficult to get wrong) and assignments. There is little initiative within the course to integrate, revise and practice what you've learnt, save for the assignments which ask you to produce lesson plans. To really maximise what one recieves from this course, you'll need to revise, self-study and practice elsewhere. Ironically the course does not practice the maxims that it is teaching!! In short, an acceptable course that will teach you TEFL, but not enough to prepare you to be an English teacher.”

“I found the TEFL course to be well-structured with a good balance of assignments/quizzes to learning material/"classroom time". My tutor Alex provided excellent feedback, balancing encouragement with recommendations for alternative lesson plans etc in a very positive way. The marking was completed and sent back to me well within the 48-hour timeframe also which helped me continue at a pace that suited me. The only criticism I have about the course would be the poor quality of the classroom videos. If you had to listen to the students' conversations and interactions, it was almost impossible.”

“My TEFL course experience was overall good. The instructions were thorough and easy to go back to and there were plenty of demonstration videos. I would probably like more if the class videos were divided into sections with specific explanations and there were fewer long videos. As for the "telephone classes" I don't know if anybody teaches like that - everybody uses skype and zoom so maybe that course could be a bit updated, with some video examples since there is a possibility of recording. The lesson plan assignments were challenging but encouraging when completed successfully.”

I understand your point about the telephone teaching - however, we still find many people around the world don't have easy access to the internet or still use Skype etc. We try to make sure that our courses cover this so that teachers have the tools to provide English lessons to everyone, no matter where they are in the world. “I really liked that all explanations are short and easy to understand. There was a small problem with a text I was supposed to read. It appeared in a strange way both from my smartphone and my laptop. Other than that my experience with you so far is great!”

“I enjoyed the course and think it has given me the tools I need to prepare my students for their upcoming exams. My only critique is, given how China is one of the largest ESL markets, I think the CET-4 and CET-6 should be focused on a little more. Other than that great course!”
