“I like the concepts and materials. But I feel there should be more virtual classes where students can interact and present their work.”

“I found the course difficult to navigate, what I mean is that the direction of completion is not set out, I received 5 units and proceeded as the order they seemed to me. I started with Grammar first but questioned this later. I found the structure where videos mixed with written slides hard to follow, the classroom lessons were inaudible where the students were concerned, I am aware that the commentry was available however trying to read this and watch the lesson was difficult. Also the downloaded course was in PDF format and for me for future reference this is a bad choise as the content is long and the use of word find is removed when PDF is used. This content should be in a Word document so the client who has paid for this material can easily access quickly via word search what they are looking for. Also when I was submitting written assignments, specifically from the marked sections the content was lost on a 600 word assignment when I submitted, the tutor later said I have to use a seperate document to complete the assignment and copy/paste into the provided section. This was massively fustrating as two were lost and one that was successful, the tutor only received half of my written content. Also the quizzes in the Grammar section were hit and miss with answers that I thought were wrong, backed up by the forum dialogs. On the subject of Tutors, Dee, (Denise) was very helpful however others were not. I found the length of time for markings was too long, if like me clients cannot proceed without marked content this is indeed fustrating. The forum is not very good either as blank commentry is not possible only replying.”

Thank you for your suggestion regarding using Word for downloading course material, however as PDF cannot be edited we find this a more secure and efficient way to deliver course material to all students. We're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with submitting your assignments; we do recommend that students ensure they keep a copy of their course work before submitting. This ensures if there are any system or wifi issues they will always have a copy saved. While it’s great to hear that Dee was a helpful tutor, we understand your concerns regarding timely feedback from other tutors. We have found that the 48-hour time frame is more efficient to enable tutors to mark all their student's course work in a detailed and timely manner. Thank you again for your constructive comments. “The course materials are solid. The quiz material is too easy and could be improved by challenging the students more. The written assignments: 1. Very solid on assignment turn times under 48 hours. 2. The instructions were sometimes challenging to follow (gaps and ambiguous instructions at times). The assignment could be easy to follow but knowing how to structure the response and what to include / exclude (to show work) was an issue. 3. The feedback was good but could be improved by using a standardized feedback form (similar to an "Annual Review" form where it is easy to follow along.) With the current "free form" feedback, in the body of an email, it can be a calarie burner trying to sort through the information. You could set up fields like this: Lead In: No changes Presentment: Change X, Add Y, wrong section for Z, need more examples on explaining meaning Practice: Wrong age and level. Redo. Production: etc. etc...”

“It is a very good course. The thing I would say is a recommendation of which series to take in order. I know it is asynchronous but I found myself winding up taking the harder portions that should be last and the easier ones vice versa. Other than that it is very informative and have even implemented some of my new skills in my current job.”

“I understood the part of teaching online and requirement all ok as well as how to set up the environment. However I am still unsure how to use the platforms for online teaching despite watching the videos, the explanations felt that they were for people who already know how to use them instead of for new beginners. I will need to do more research on how to use these platforms, step by step as a complete beginner before starting teaching.”

“It was a complete course covering every point necessary, however, I think it would be best to separate the diplomas and not only have the diplomas once we complete all 4. Also have more chances to finish the quiz and keep the same questions for us to answer correctly.”

“I took the 200 hour Diploma course and had to extend it twice due to ill health getting in the way, so it took me 10 months to complete. The course subjects were straightforward and the exams were not too challenging. I do think that some of the word counts could be better though. There are some aspects I'm still not 100% sure of but I will research and continue adding to my knowledge through books etc. My plan is to teach online and start up my own teaching business in order that I can travel and teach remotely. The chat section was very easy to use and always had someone with good information to answer any questions. I was questioned over one exam as to whether I had used AI to generate the answers which made me feel a little annoyed. ALL of my work done on the course was my own work but I can understand in the present times that some people might not be honest. I noticed recently that the course is being advertised for half the price I paid which is unfortunate but I've passed and now the world is my lobster.”

“well done and structured course. the explanations are simple and the methodologies explained in detail. tutors' support with their feedback is a further lesson to be learned. perhaps online and large classes teaching should be supported by some demonstrations to better understand the explanations. overall very positive experience.”

“Generally, it was a great experience. Most of the courses were easy to understand. A few of the courses were hurried. Some of the quizzes were not easy to understand especially the stress quizzes. In some of the videos pertaining to the types of teaching methods, it wasn't easy to identify when one stage ends and when the next stage begins.”
