“The Tefl course really opened my eyes in way kids think and learn, i feel this was essential to skills and assets when interacting with kids. Overall the course provided a great deal of information that will help me moving forward into my new career in terms of planning lessons and engaging kids to want participate.”

“It is a very good course. The thing I would say is a recommendation of which series to take in order. I know it is asynchronous but I found myself winding up taking the harder portions that should be last and the easier ones vice versa. Other than that it is very informative and have even implemented some of my new skills in my current job.”

“I understood the part of teaching online and requirement all ok as well as how to set up the environment. However I am still unsure how to use the platforms for online teaching despite watching the videos, the explanations felt that they were for people who already know how to use them instead of for new beginners. I will need to do more research on how to use these platforms, step by step as a complete beginner before starting teaching.”

“I found the course to be a great value. The coursework itself was largely useful, though it could stand to be proofread as there are a few spelling errors and such. I appreciate the resources available to graduates and the indepth feedback of the tutors.”

“It was a complete course covering every point necessary, however, I think it would be best to separate the diplomas and not only have the diplomas once we complete all 4. Also have more chances to finish the quiz and keep the same questions for us to answer correctly.”

“The course was really easy, I enjoyed the videos, mainly because I have a hard time focusing when I have to read a lot of information. I wished that every part of the course was a video, because there where some parts where a lot of important information was written.”

“I took the 200 hour Diploma course and had to extend it twice due to ill health getting in the way, so it took me 10 months to complete. The course subjects were straightforward and the exams were not too challenging. I do think that some of the word counts could be better though. There are some aspects I'm still not 100% sure of but I will research and continue adding to my knowledge through books etc. My plan is to teach online and start up my own teaching business in order that I can travel and teach remotely. The chat section was very easy to use and always had someone with good information to answer any questions. I was questioned over one exam as to whether I had used AI to generate the answers which made me feel a little annoyed. ALL of my work done on the course was my own work but I can understand in the present times that some people might not be honest. I noticed recently that the course is being advertised for half the price I paid which is unfortunate but I've passed and now the world is my lobster.”

“well done and structured course. the explanations are simple and the methodologies explained in detail. tutors' support with their feedback is a further lesson to be learned. perhaps online and large classes teaching should be supported by some demonstrations to better understand the explanations. overall very positive experience.”

“Generally, it was a great experience. Most of the courses were easy to understand. A few of the courses were hurried. Some of the quizzes were not easy to understand especially the stress quizzes. In some of the videos pertaining to the types of teaching methods, it wasn't easy to identify when one stage ends and when the next stage begins.”

“I took the Young Learners Course, and was happy to learn a few things to bring into the classroom when teaching. I have experience with teaching English to adults, so this course was helpful with adding more to my repretoire focused on young learners. I think something the course could improve upon is maybe adding a lesson plan unit to the course so that students will feel more prepared when it comes to do the assignments. Although I have written a few lesson plans before this, they were all for adult students. More information on how different a lesson plan should be for an adult learner versus a young learner would be helpful for future students interested in taking the course.”

“Reflection on Completing My TEFL Teaching English Course I am delighted to share that I have recently completed my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) course. This is a significant accomplishment for me, especially given the challenges I faced along the way. Overcoming Challenges The journey to completing the course was not easy. Balancing my studies with other personal responsibilities made it difficult to stay consistent, and there were moments when I felt like giving up. However, my determination to achieve this goal kept me going. Support from Fellow Students One of the key factors that helped me succeed was the support I received from my fellow students. Their encouragement and willingness to help me understand difficult concepts were invaluable. Their support made a big difference and kept me motivated to push through the challenges. Course Benefits The TEFL course itself was incredibly informative and well-structured. “Generally the content is really good, however some of the telephone training feels dated, pre-Covid, and not adapted to ways of working globally and cultural shifts, most people now particularly in business use Teams, and even outside of business video calling is really widespread.”
