“The incorrect part was sent out. The original email reply was ignored and after calling the Swimmerton Cycles representative was arrogant and insisted that it was my fault, which it was not. Terrible customer service.”

Matthew You ordered an incorrect part to what you thought it was we sent the correct part that you ordered, the fact that you ordered the incorrect part is somehow our fault? We have offered to refund the order once you have returned the order. We can only send what you order we unfortunatley cant send what you think you may have ordered our crystal ball is currently broken.

“Great to be able to get Shimano 105 gear lever internal shifter part for £1.99 . Would have been happy for it to be sent by post rather than the £5 van delivery. Which was a bit excessive for such a small part and taking emissions and road congestion into account.”

HI just to clarify DHL shipping costs £4.50 +vat, on top of this we have to pay some on to pick & pack, packing materials heating & lighting and also advertising on google so we are losing money as it is on your £1.99 purchase but we rather than restrict customers to a minimum spend we take this hit as a service as lot of shop & websites won't service the small spare parts. We use DHL as they have a 98% hit rate on deliveries unlike the 85% hit rate with royal mail which is why we don't use them.

“I use Swinnerton for several reasons: a long established company of iconic status with a wide range of quality equipment, all very competitively priced. As important is its customer service. I recently purchased several items of Campag equipment that the carrier delivered to its local hub. However, the carrier did not send me a release code, nor did they provide one following a phone conversation when they said they would within thirty minutes. The following day I telephoned Swinnerton who had the issue sorted by the end of the day. So, brilliant choice and excellent customer service: what more could one want?”

Scott, you placed an order for a single lever but assumed it was a pair because you saw people selling pairs on eBay. if you had waited for clarification before ordering then you would not have received the single shifter after shipping it halfway around the world.
