Gave clear advice; and importantly put me in contact with Mckenzie Friends support which I had previously not heard of which will be a great help.

Mediate are fantastic - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, approachable and calm. From the initial 15 minutes free call, which was very useful, I had all the answers to my questions and concerns. I then went into the mediation process with Neil, who was very supportive and knowledgeable, who listened, answered all my questions and gave me great advice and places to research. The financial statement was fairly simple to complete and due to the advice given by Neil on the meeting it meant we both got the information ready, for the joint call. The joint mediation meeting with my ex was completed professionally and as pain free and due to us both having all the information at hand we agreed in the meeting what we wanted so only had one joint meeting which kept costs down. Throughout the process the communication either verbally or via email has been fantastic and I have felt supported throughout. All questions have been answered promptly and at no point did I feel like I was asking too much or bothering the team. I would 100% recommend (and have) Mediate UK, if you are going through a divorce as they are so good and compared to going through solicitors and trying to navigate the process on your own was definitely the less expensive way to do it. Thank you

My son had a 15 minute free call with my support. The administrator was friendly, professional and efficient. My son has booked a MIAM. Hopefully the mediator will prove to have the same qualities.

It is ok and we got there in the end but I'd not recommend MediateUK. I found the whole process very inefficient and old school. 1) It should have been identified early (in MIAM at least) that my ex-wife wasn't ready to have an open conversation about finances. It took 3 sessions - that provided no value at all to me - for there to be a suggestion that my ex should do further research or get legal advice. It took 10 months from MIAM to getting an agreement drafted on what should have been a relatively simple conversation (and it was in the end!) if both sides were prepared to make decisions. 2) the sessions to disclose financial information are 70-80% of the time with each party dictating numbers to be put on a spreadsheet by the mediator, who isn't very good with computers. Painful. I can think of several ways this could be streamlined. 3) Once we reached an agreement, it still took 7 weeks for a final Memorandum of Understanding to be issued. (after several back and forth emails with request for information that they already had... plus me pointing out recurring mistakes in the drafts) The worst point was that between the last meeting (where an agreement was reached) and the first MoU draft, the mediator suggested that we should go back to mediation (and open the can of worms again) as there was a possibility that the court would question why we moved away from 50/50 financial split. I find this to be unacceptable as the mediator is supposed to be neutral. By making such recommendation - even though we have a clear justification for it not being 50/50 - the mediator was no longer impartial in my eyes. On the positive side, Anna Stevens is very good as an admin person/point of contact and very quick to respond. I'm happy we've reached an agreement. I'd recommend mediation to everyone as a relatively cost-effective way to get agreement on a divorce. But I'd find another company to mediate it.

Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you eventually reached an agreement and appreciate your positive comments about Anna’s responsiveness and support. We’re sorry to learn that aspects of our service did not meet your expectations. We always strive to deliver a streamlined and efficient process, and we regret that this was not your experience. Your points about identifying readiness for mediation, improving the efficiency of financial disclosure sessions, and ensuring timely drafting of agreements have been noted. We will review these areas to see how we can improve. We understand the importance of maintaining neutrality in mediation and take your comments regarding this very seriously. We aim to help clients reach agreements that are fair and work for both parties, and we’ll reflect on your feedback to ensure our mediators continue to uphold the highest standards of impartiality. Couldn't recommend mediate UK more. A conversation with my soon to be ex-wife that was stuck and going nowhere in terms of resolution was transformed into a level headed conversation to get to a fair conclusion with legal parameters in mind. The professional mediator did this avoiding further animosity that put our daughter, and a future functioning "family" solution at the centre of the conclusion and reminded us of the importance of this within challenging conversations around separation terms. We have an agreement which enables us all to move forward at a reasonable cost. Thank you!

I found this service simple, friendly and helpful during such an emotionally painful time. My husband and me are still friends and we didn’t want anything that would cause more stress to us as a family. Mediate UK are fair and keep things calm without the expense of unnecessary legal fees or fights. Our relationship has been kept intact which will allow us to move on as friends, helping ourselves and our family feel more comfortable with a new normal. Thank you Mediate for ensuring fairness and kindness was the priority throughout
