“Hi, for the quality of product for the price I think they are unbeatable. My only issue is delivery, they turned up ay 6pm on day of delivery(O.K. I know thats at the end of the deliverywindow) with a driver that can not move the pallet on his own and then the problem becomes mine, this is the 4th lot of tiles I have ordered however the transport company do not seem geared up for the delivery.”

“ordered marble mosaic border tiles. quality good, all arrived intact, next day delivery. Postage rather expensive more than a £ a tile for a border tile!”

“The tiles I ordered are better than I imagined. Only downfall was the delivery was delayed for a while. Not through any fault of Stone Deals I understand. I spoke to Eleni and was communicated with all along. I ended up picking them up from the haulage company's warehouse as I could not wait for the delivery any longer. I have my next order in the process with you too.”

“Very helpful advice. Friendly staff. Pleased with tiles. Only slight grumblr would be delivery. Had to be left on pavement as they couldn't even get them up the smallest step.”

“Tiles arrived safely, securely packaged, on time and good communications from courier. My adverse comments would be, the small pallet used for delivery is not suitable for hand pallet trucks (only forklifts). I happen to be an expert on this being on the BSI & ISO Pallet Committees. This leads to unsafe handling as the only option to transport from the vehicle (if a forklift is not available as on most occasions for kerbside delivery) with a hand pallet truck by breaking the bottom slat for entry, endangering the handling procedure and potentially causing damage to the load. The other point would be the two page disclaimer if each tile is not inspected prior to sign off. Completely unmanageable but with using the wrong pallets probably necessary. Very poor packaging management ..... spoken from a 30yr professional in the subject!”

“Would be 5* other than delivery. Arrived on pallet on large lorry which was no problem until the driver came to get it off. The pallet was too shallow for him to get his fork lift under and the only way to get it down was for me to help lift it onto the top of the forks then balance it and lift it off again where it was to be left. As a 60yr old woman, I'm pretty strong but lifting this weight at floor level has left me with a problem hip. As for the tiles, I love them and my tiler had no problems fitting them”

“The ordering process was efficient, except that somewhere my order for "brushed" limestone tiles changed to "honed". Fortunately, I was able to pick up the error because the invoice was e-mailed out to me before despatch. I say that the service was efficient, but never particularly good-humoured or friendly - just efficient. Delivery was as promised, and the condition of the stone perfect. One bag of adhesive was torn open - with minimal leakage.”

“Very happy with the Trevertine Tiles.They look very good and a they have a far more alive quality than the average flooring. Delivery was a bit of a problem as the truck was so big it was difficult to get near the house.Not the drivers fault. Good luck with your business Michael Horn”

“Lovely stone at a great price delivered swiftly. Only 1 minor issue, we bought 600 x400 stone & it's been cut at a slight angle so we have parallelograms not rectangles. It just means slate needs careful sorting before laying & all needs to be laid same face up. You don't notice once laid & it looks lovely”

“Goods were ordered on economy delivery, unfortunately I was not available when the carrier phoned me so I missed the delivery. I collected from the carriers depot, and apart from 2 small tiles which were packed into the crate the wrong way round, there were no other damages.”

“Ordering the stones was easy with 'over the phone' help when I needed it. They arrived well packaged with very minimal damage. However, had problems with the delivery - turned up a day late (despite paying for next day) and the driver struggled to get the 3 tonnes of stone off his truck by himself. It took him over an hour to unload and would have been incredibly dangerous if my husband was not on hand to help.”

“Dealings with the company were excellent, no fuss, very efficient - we got exactly what we wanted - product excellent. The only downside was delivery - although it was on time, the crate was not sealed, top ripped open, driver would not wait for us to check goods thoroughly, wouldn't unload until we agreed not to check whole consignment. Goods in good condition apart from three tiles with small chipd out the corner. Thank you”

“This review would have read "very good" however a small number of our natural oyster riven slate tiles were damaged by poor packaging. The main larger pallet with the tiles stacked vertically was fine, the smaller pallet with slates stacked together horizontally with no separation on the tiles resulted in damaged surfaces in transit. We were lucky because with our over order of 10% we were able to lay a beautiful floor. We checked the tiles on delivery for broken ones and found non, however the time limit of 48 hours is insufficient to check for scratched or damaged surfaces as we had 173. 600x300 tiles to check. I would buy from Stone Deals again as the floor was value for money and looks amazing, but I would check ALL my tiles.”
