Had to wait an extremely long time for my tiles which kept being put back and back even though payment had been made upfront. Unreasonable for them to have the benefit of your money whilst you do not have your goods for an indeterminate time. Delivery costs extortionate. Delivery driver was incapable of using his pallet jack the tailgate on the van was insufficient to off load the tiles. My builder had to use his physical strength to assist the jack and remove a pallet of tiles that weighed too much for the pallet. The pallet driver was embarrassed and said he could not have done this without my builder and he would have been stuck. My builder should have been working on site not attempting delivery of items that I had already paid for. There should be a reimbursement of my delivery charge as he did all the work.

Hello Ms Campbell, we find your negative review slightly puzzling. We do not request payments or allow orders to be processed for out of stock items online. It is only at the request of our customers we open an order manually as an "awaiting stock" order through our sales team where, you were notified that the items were out of stock with an expected date (not a confirmed date). Regretfully, we then depend on the supply and transportation chain to deliver the items to us, and we are never able to guarantee when they will be back in stock because there are so many factors that affect this. Although it is optional and not required, you opted to pay the full amount for your "awaiting stock" order. Our minimum payment for such orders is only a 20% FULLY refundable deposit. This arrangement is made at our customers' request to reserve stock from the expected container where they will be guaranteed the items when they arrive. This is not required; it is optional. Customers are welcome to submit their orders without paying in advance if they would prefer to wait for the items to arrive in stock first, however, this will not reserve any stock and orders will be honoured in order of arrival. Additionally, we find it perplexing that you would consider 250 kg of goods to be "too heavy" for a pallet since our pallets can accommodate orders of up to 1000 kg on a single pallet. Since your review is the first we have heard of the issue, we are unsure of the specific challenges you had during your delivery; nonetheless, we can confirm that the weight of your order was only 25% of the weight your pallet was designed to support. In regards to the cost of your delivery, we use a 3rd party haulier to handle all our order deliveries, the delivery charge is payable to them and we do not actually earn any money from the delivery charges, these charges also are not hidden charges and you were aware of this charge when paying for your order. Stay well

The product is good quality and the delivery was prompt. The backing came off the mosaic tiles too easily but it was not overly problematic in the end. My only gripe was the delivery cost and at £66 I felt this was overly expensive. But I have tiles and I can finally finish my project.

Hello Mr West Thank you again for your order with us. We use a 3rd party haulier for all our order shipments, their charges are per pallet, this unfortunately means it is the same delivery charge for a small order and a larger order per pallet. We do understand that this can seem a little accessive for small orders however, these are not hidden charges and all orders placed with us include all charges of the order before a payment is processed, this gives our customers the option to proceed with an order or not. We do also do our best to ensure our item pricing along with their quality are as best as possible within our sector. We hope this helps explain the delivery charges on orders. With Regards,

Stones and delivery magnificent but was surprised and shocked by £50 extra delivery charge. It was never mentioned for my 8 boxes.

Dear Customer, We are happy to hear that you have received your items and are satisfied with your experience overall however, during our telephone conversation when placing your order with us, 2 members of our sales team explained the order total in detail, one of which was me, the sales manager here at Stone Deals, I explained the total breakdown of your order which also included the delivery charge for it, we, therefore, can not, unfortunately, agree that the delivery charge was an "extra charge" that you were not made aware of before placing your order with us. If you have any other queries please feel free in contacting us and we will be happy to help.

Dear Customer, This order was dispatched as seen in your order shipping photo (attached), the items themselves are packaged in boxes by the manufacturers and your pallet was packaged using a clear shrink wrapping, to enable all our customers to easily view all products on their pallet, this is our common way of preparing orders. Our warehouse staff do not open boxes to inspect individual tiles as this will increase the risk of damaging the very securely packed items within boxes. Checking our records, this review is the first we are informed of any defects with your order therefore, we feel we have not been given the opportunity to deal with any possible issues with your product. In regards to the delivery charge on your order, we have received your order through our website, all charges, including order delivery charge is viewable before proceeding with any payments. Many thanks.

Received the tiles from carrier who uses computer and not paperwork so could not say that I had a certain percentage damaged, contacted your company and said I had some breakages and was told I should have ordered 10% more to cover, I asked about extra tiles if I didnt have enough was told the delivery cost to my area is £68

Dear Customer, Thank you for your order with us. We think there has been a misunderstanding as we do not tell customers to order 10% extra on orders, we simply enquire if this is the case as it is general practice to do so for all orders when taking into consideration off-cuts, corners and maybe even breakages during installation. On the rare occasions when customers receive a small percentage of damages usually customer prefers a swift resolve and opt for a refund rather than wait for tiles they may not even need. Due to the extremely fragile nature of the items you have received the hauliers can not reliably determine if the damages occurred during or after they had made your delivery to yourselves if the damages are not reported at the time of delivery to your driver, unfortunately the 3rd party hauliers do charge for any replacements deliveries even when your replacements are sent free of charge by us.

I can’t really make a positive or negative comment yet, other than the poor communication. I’ve had no confirmation email or call, and I’ve tried calling, but couldn’t get through. I appreciate it’s Christmas, but thought I would’ve heard something by now!!

Good afternoon and happy new year. For the benefit of all of our customers, we had included a pop-up notification of the dates our offices are closed on our website as our offices were closed from the 22nd of December to the 4th of January, due to your attempt to contact us was between these dates, unfortunately, there was no member of staff to return your messages or answer your phone calls. We have now attempted to contact you via the available means. With regards,

The quality of the Chateau mix tiles were poorer than I had expected. The surface layer of several slabs had been chipped and this caused the top 3 mm to delaminate and fall off, and one of the slabs had cracked in half. Customer service allowed me to drive to the nearest depot (35mins by car) and pick up a replacement, only to find it had a hairline fracture when I got home. Let’s hope they don’t crack when they are laid!

"Good afternoon, unfortunately, due to how fragile natural stone tiles are, damages can occur on rare occasions. We had arranged for you to collect a replacement tile upon your request however, we had kindly requested that you inspect items being collected onsite as we can not be held accountable for any damages that may occur once the customers depart our warehouse site. "

Overall happy with the product, however the price was the same as B&Q so it wasn't worth paying for delivery which was expensive. The tile quality was below average too which was disappointing.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are bit puzzled with the comments where it says "overall happy with the product as well as quality below average". Please note that the all charges are visible on our shopping cart, there are no hidden fees, and displayed before the payment page. Due to the current economical situation, unfortunately all prices and costs have gone up, however we still believe we are one of the most competitive company in the market for like for like products.

Everything was going really well before delivery - good communications, good pricing, good support - but from delivery onward, it all went downhill. I know the delivery is outsourced but you and your courier aren't singing from the same hymn sheet and I've heard nothing from you following my report of damaged goods. Which is a shame because the product itself is fabulous.

The communication & ordering was first class. We did have three tiles with the corners broken on delivery. That’s nothing to do with the supplier. We do have a few cuts to make so hopefully can make do with what we have.

Slates were a reasonable price and arrived very quickly, but at least one was broken. As a newcomer I found the ordering system confusing, and the person on the 'helpline' was rude and patronising.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. Our ordering is very easy and gives all the necessary information before checkout. We are getting positive feedback from many clients, however if you have any suggestions, we can always improve. In regards to our colleague being "rude", we have spoken to our staff and no one recalls this kind of conversation however if we acted differently than how we intended to, we sincerely apologise.

Very disappointed that the delivery was just a man with a pump truck, I spent £40 on ply would to ensure he would place the crate where I needed but he didn’t use the and left the crate in the middle of my drive. The adhesive bag was damaged and leaking and when I complained I got told that will be ok just keep it dry no offer of a replacement

Dear Customer, Many thanks for your review. Please note that every customer needs to fill in a delivery site questionnaire before checkout and since you answered Yes to Gravel on site, we liased with yourselves before the dispatched of the goods. We cannot deliver to sites where the ground is gravel and we also advise the reason for this before the checkout. If you still wish to go ahead with the delivery, you need to make sure the site is prepared for the delivery of heavy pallets. In the case of adhesive bag, it was just a small tear and the bag was generally intact. As you may remember, we were asked if the adhesive will get effected by the tear to which we had then mentioned if stored in a dry none humid area the content of the bag will not be effected. therefore no replacement is required in this case. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Dear customer, thank you for your feedback. Please get in touch with us for this incident as we do not have much information. It is sometimes possible some tiles get damaged during transport, therefore we recommend all of our customers to order 5-10% more, not just transport breakages, for future use or change of plans to avoid extra costs. Thank you again.

Price for the tiles were reasonable, however price for delivery was very expensive, I wanted a Saturday delivery but had to choose next day then Saturday delivery even though Saturday was not the next day, this cost an extra £20 for next day (which I didn't need), plus £50 for Saturday so £70 extra in top of £96 for delivery already = £166 for delivery. I chose a PM delivery but got a number of calls from the lorry driver as he wanted to deliver AM so ended up getting them at 11am even though we didn't choose this as our option. One packet of tiles were cracked and I reported this on the delivery note but no contact to see if I wanted another pack sending to replace it. Some of the tiles have huge holes filled with what looks like blue-tac so hoping we don't have to use those ones as we ordered extra. Overall though the tiles are beautiful and we are pleased with them.

The tiles arrived with a few chips and cracks on some tiles, when I spoke to the customer service they were some what helpful but would only offer to exchange the tiles if I took them to there suppliers warehouse which was 110 miles away from where I live. They would only exchange if they deemed them unusable and insisted I use them for cut.

Dear customer, thank you for your comments. We need to correct some of the comments made here in regards to the transaction: Customer reported breakages, after confirming whether some can be used for cuts, corners, the customer requested some number of tiles for replacement. One of our colleagues lives only 10-20 miles far away so we asked if they could meet at a closer location for exchange. Then customer requested that he does not know how many tiles to replace, he wants to go through all the tiles when our colleague arrives. We said this is not possible as our colleague has not got a van. Customer then called us that the replacements will not be needed, if he needs he will come to the warehouse for exchange. We did what we could to help the customer for this transaction.

Have not laid them yet and still awaiting for a pattern layout. They weren't packed very good and may I suggest that different sizes are packed together to take the weight of the smallest ones which are at the bottom. We had ONE broken, a photo was taken by delivery man

Dear Customer, We have checked the details and the pattern layout was sent as soon as requested, the information is also displayed on our website. From what we understand, you do not have a tiler and trying to do this job on your own, hence you'd like to know more about laying this pattern. This is a standard pattern and a competent tiler will have no problem in repeating the pattern displayed on our website therefore we suggest to hire a tiler as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The service from stone deals was excellent and the tiles were delivered on time as promised. The office staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, however, the product was not so good. I should have known - you get what you pay for - but the quality of the limestone tile was not great. In particular, the tiles weren't actually cut square so the job took our tiler an extra two days' work because he had to trim them all to make the floor look neat. The difference in the lengths of the diagonals of a 600mm tile varied by up to 15mm! Be warned! Given the option again I would go for a more expensive tile.

Dear customer, thank you for your feedback. We checked the product you have purchased and we are surprised that you have experienced a problem in this nature as we do not receive complaints of this such. Also checking the size of the material, you have purchased 610mm x 610mm tile (Not 600mm tile). Can you please clarify what the exact problem is?

Customer contacted us that there were damages found after delivery, we asked for pictures for our transport company but this has never been done. Customer has not got in touch with us afterwards.

Never again. Poor quality tiles. Six of them arrived broken. Too much stress having to take photos, telephone conversations, emails and days off work to meet delivery driver. The six tiles that were resent out were of much better quality and what I expected. The first batch are dull with a green moss look to the background. They must have been in the warehouse a long time. Bianco Carrera Marble is what I ordered. I'm having to reorder all tiles from another supplier as I don't want to ruin a £30,000 project

We are surprised to hear these comments, as customer bought 9m2 of Carrara Marble, they advised that 2m2 (6 tiles) are faulty and these were replaced without even collecting the claimed faulty tiles. Where the customer complains about telephone conversations, having to take photos are normal procedures for replacements, once the customer provided more evidence for the alleged faulty material, we replaced them at no extra cost. And finally we do not understand why the customer has to reorder all the tiles again where they wanted exactly 6 tiles to finish off the project? The tiles could have all returned back if they were not suitable for the project.
