What should have been a simple exercise renewing my policy on-line was not possible as the website was not working. The site would not let me feed in the date for the start of the policy. I had to spend more time than should have been necessary renewing by telephone.

I used MoneySupermarket to obtain a quote, chose Start Rescue and completed the process online . I would have expected a confirmation email but, as yet, I have not received any emails at all from Start Rescue.

I found the online purchase experience unsettling. The Start rescue site appeared to transfer me to the money supermarket site to complete the transaction, and I am not certain whether or not I have therefore purchased two roadside assistance packages. Could you assure me that this is not the case, and advise when and how I get details of the package I have purchased. Regards. R Trace

I had to 'phone 3 times after trying to buy online. After purchase I NEVER received a confirmation email so could not download the paperwork. There is something wrong with your systems as my email was working and I checked all folders including spam. Eventually one of your staff had to send me a PERSONAL email with the paperwork - nice of him but not very encouraging.

I was offered a 10% discount as this is my second year as a customer. However, at no point in the payment process was I offered an opportunity to input my code. I feel annoyed and 'cheated' as the discount lured me from seeking an alternative quote. I'm left with a feeling that the discount may be disingenuous!

I tried to renew my cover 3 times and on each occasion was told the payment had gone through. Only to find the payment had not ben processed. I have not had problems with my credit card and am able to use it for other transactions but the issue I had making my payment almost lost you my custom.

I am being asked for a review when I have yet to receive an email detailing the product that I bought yesterday! I do not have ANY details, not even an account number - if I were to break down, how would I be able to contact you? When finalising the purchase of the European Breakdown cover, online, the 'Thank You' page (which I can no longer access) stated that I would receive an email with, hopefully, terms, conditions, and complete policy details which could be downloaded and printed for reference. This has yet to arrive!

Had mistakes made when first purchased which took some real hassle to rectify. Customer service response was non-existance when trying to get a reponse to communications sent. Telephone staff were nice and very polite when purchasing breakdown cover though.

I found it very difficult! I was renewing policy numbered: 360010. At the final page the screen rolled over and asked for the car details again. I'm not brilliant with technology but I got stuck! I pressed the pay now button, entered my details and voila: a new policy number appeared and you took away the discount and gave me a new policy! Customer service over the weekend was crap! They told me there was no-one and nothing that could help me! Lauren, on Monday morning was lovely but again, the new policy stands. I just wanted a trail, a trail that said I was loyal and returned to Start Rescue, but now I look like a new customer. I am happy to stay with start and I appreciate it was my fault, but I don't know how it happened! Confused AND disappointed from Hampshire.

Annoyed that when I responded to the email offering a 10% discount if I renewed the policy it worked out considerably more expensive than going to the web site and starting a new policy.

I called to say my policy document did not contain details of both my cars. One was complete the Minii Cooper, but the Mercedes did not show the vehicle registration number or cover details or level of cover. The lady I spoke to said there had been a recent software upgrade and that possibly was the problem. She said she would speak to the IT people and call me back. She didn't call me back. So I called again this morning and a young man said he would resend the details, I am still awaiting the email. 10.15am

The website is appalling - found that to remove a purchase item I was so easily tricked into clicking on in the first place meant I had to end up purchasing my cover on my smartphone. On my desk computer even going back to home and starting again did not work with the unwanted item remaining in the basket..... Printing of the document means you print of all 5 varieties of breakdown cover terms and conditions/info too, even though you've only purchased one. In summary website not user friendly - even attempting to download your app from the website was a broken link. It can't get more chronic than that........
