Tried to pay my fee by computer,no luck.Tried to bring up documents for the cover,no luck.Your computer does not seem up to the job..Please send me the documents to prove in the event of a breakdown, heaven forbid, that I am a fee paying member of this breakdown company. I will await your instructions on how to remedy matters. R.Amos

Tried to reset my password. You forwarded a code that wouldn't display and when I eventually accessed it the code was rejected so I still don't have access. A waste of time! Eventually renewed by another method

My vehicle was updated on my renewal but not my new address, even though it had been confirmed to me on the phone that the new address had been added. Your operator (Tamsin) said that it was some sort of computer error and didn't know what to do. When I expressed my concern at entrusting my vehicle care to a company that can't even get my address right, she said I was being rude and that she didn't feel comfortable. I wasn't being rude at all - I was worried that if I break down, this is the standard of admin your company has, and I certainly don't feel comfortable with that. I have therefore cancelled my renewal. I was also going to point out that your payment page doesn't display any security information apart from a padlock symbol which is quite easy for a hacker to reproduce. Most companies show details of their SSL certificate.

After completing my request for insurance continental cover,having given my card details and the year of my car before completion,I was then informed that you do not offer cover on cars of 10 years old,would it not be better and fairer to state this fact bea full memfore I gave you my credit card details Also my car is a low milage for a 10 year old car I am also ,a full member of the Institute of advanced drivers,and there my car is fully maintained in accordance with the manufacturers requirements, However your rules are there but I know I will find another company to cover my needs

Unreasonable wait time to speak to a person on the main telephone number. Gave up in the end and put the phone down.

Incorrect address on the Policy Schedule, despite the correct address being on the previous year's schedule. Attempts to correct situation using website futile, accepts correct information, but does NOT correct address on Schedule document. Email to correct situation, gets an automatic answer by sending 'Thanks' with attachment of all documents, still with incorrect address on Schedule. (nb Serious error as Hinckley Road, Nuneaton is NOT valid for Hinckley Road, Dadlington, Nuneaton. Not a good way to treat your customer with a genuine complaint, what are you going to do to correct situation???

I went for an automatic renewal, but only found out afterwards that my cover had been downgraded from European cover to UK cover only. The reason - Start Rescue does not cover vehicles over ten years old for European cover. Did they tell me this at renewal? No. I only found out by reading the small print on the cover summary sheet. Why not let me know that they could no longer cover my car for Europe and I would have gone elsewhere straight away.

You gave me a renewal quote of £49.50 but I was out of the country for 3wks so didn't need it. On return I went on line and renewed for£34.83. Disappointing after being customer for few yrs

Nearly 4 weeks after taking out policy yet to receive any documents but did receive this really useful link to provide feedback! Let's hope breakdown vehicle is a bit more prompt if I need one!

My renewal letter stated my cover ran out on the 5 April. I renewed by telephone on that day and learned my cover had actually expired 30 minutes earlier. Because I missed a deadline that was not stated on my renewal letter I will not be covered for 24 hours. Don't most breakdown insurers cover until 23.59? Why didn't the renewal letter give a date and time. OK its probably on my policy document but as one ho hasn't had an accident or breakdown for some years I don't look at the policy document too often.

Unfortunately I found I had to buy my breakdown cover 24 hrs. before I left home. I had expected the cover would kick in 24 hours after I bought it, but not so. As I was leaving early the following morning I was advised I would have no cover at all for the few days I would be away. Thank Goodness I spoke to someone at the office or I would not have known. I cancelled and have had my money refunded. The man who dealt with my query on the phone was, I have to say, excellent. I bought alternative cover via my car insurer and it started immediately.

I was searching for car and trailer breakdown cover on Gocompare and was led to your site among others and chose yours. I then went ahead with the transaction only to find the insurance cover does not include my trailer (caravan). Mos t misleading and will be phoning when office opens.

Since purchasing breakdown cover l have still not recieved any paperwork that can be carried in the car for reference in case of breakdown, is this normal practice !!!!.

I understood I would receive a conformation email with copy of documents. I have not received any information although you have my correct email. I contacted my credit card company and note that you have taken the payment. Please forward documents.

I was disappointed that the Free legal cover was not revealed in the initial renewal notice - I renewed with Start rescue, then renewed car insurance and paid extra for legal cover, then received your notification that it was included in the policy! Also I tried to use the link to look at the policy documents and I found your website totally incomprehensible and as a result I've been unable to download my policy - not at all happy.
