“my policy wasincreased this year due to the cars age,but it is serviced regul\arly even though i do very little mileage”

“I'm not great with technology, but was able to follow instructions to successfully buy cover online. I had problems with trying to access the customer lounge, changing passwords etc, but spoke to a very helpful person at customer services who sent me a reset code and talked me through it. Thank you.”

“had to renew after oversight when in hospital for some time. spoke to start operator to start new contract. Very friendly. efficient . i do like the prices after comparing with others and the lay out. very happy i chose this company.”

“My policy hasn’t even started yet. Ive been with the RAC for 15years but have just taken a deep breath and decided to instead try Start Rescue. I was inspired by their annual premium being a massive 66% cheaper than the RAC, but I wouldn’t have switched on price alone if Which magazine had not also rated Start Rescue as a ‘Best Buy’ for breakdown service and now had the RAC was one of the lowest. The RAC were upset and tried to sell me on staying. Lets see in 12 months time if this was the right move. I hope I never need to truly test Start Rescue but I like the peace of mind of cost effective cover that Which magazine gave me.”

“I have been with this company for about 10 years now. When i have broken down thankfully i have not waited longer than an hour. My sister who is with a more well known company has had to wait hours. I have also looked at different prices and found this company better value for money”

“I could not remove an expired card from my record, despite putting a valid replacement up online. This resulted in many messages trying to get me to do something I had done as far as your system allowed. Therefore totally dissatisfied with the renewal procedure.”

“Service is good, although being a little more realistic with arrival times would be great - and just got renewal - all automated - told me how much they are taking and the fee 80% IS admin fees... 80%!! just think about that for a minute... By no means rewarding loyalty - good thing is - policy hasn't started yet - so going to shop around before it starts...”

Hello Stephen, Thank you for your feedback. We took the step last year to be more transparent to customers, with regards to the fees that we apply to policies. The fee is transparently included in any quotation you received from us and detailed separately, whereas, previously the fee was still charged but it was included as part of the overall price for our products. The fee covers general operational overheads which include the overall administration of your breakdown policy, as well as providing the assistance service whenever you need it, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The amount of the fee will vary based on a number of factors including the type of service a breakdown policy is designed to provide. Best wishes, the Start Rescue Team
